Donât trust the high star ratingsâread this review first. My visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment, with terrible service, subpar food, and frustrating policies. Hereâs why you should skip it
Forced Drink Purchases The restaurant insists every person buys a drink, which feels like a cheap tactic to inflate the bill. A party of four? Expect to pay for four drinks, even if not everyone wants one. This policy is absurd and sets a bad tone from the start.
Hassle-Filled Ordering Process The setup here is a nightmare. You order bakery items on the ground floor but must carry them yourself to the first floor to eat. Want coffee? Trek to the first floor to pick it up. This multi-floor nonsense is inconvenient and poorly planned, especially for groups or anyone with mobility issues. Itâs as if they designed the process to frustrate customers.
Lousy Bakery Items The pastries look pretty, but thatâs where the appeal ends. The taste and texture are mediocre at best. Iâve had far better baked goods elsewhere, making me question the glowing reviews. Have those giving high ratings ever tried truly great bakeries? These donât come close, despite the fancy presentation.
Awful Service The staff were uninterested and unhelpful, barely acknowledging customers. Requests for help, like explaining the confusing ordering system, were met with indifference. Poor service made an already bad experience worse, leaving us feeling unwelcome.
Questionable High Ratings The high ratings on Google are baffling. The food, service, and overall experience donât justify the praise. I suspect some reviewers have limited exposure to quality dining. For better options, check Google Reviews for places with consistent, detailed positive feedback.
Donât Bother Visiting Save your time and moneyâthis place isnât worth it. The mandatory drink rule, chaotic ordering across floors, bland baked goods, and terrible service make it a no-go. Look for restaurants with great food and service instead. Google Reviews can guide you to better...
Read moreI went in and ordered a coffee and three cookies for 20,000 won. The cashier tells me to go upstairs to get the coffee. The cashier then proceeds to tell me that children are not allowed upstairs. It caught me off guard. Iâm wondering what to do. Should I cancel my order? Thereâs a long line of people behind me. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. I then ask her, how am I supposed to go upstairs and get the coffee if kids are not allowed there? I was alone with my daughter. Was I supposed to leave her alone downstairs to get the coffee? She looks at me like she couldnât careless. You can bring her upstairs to get the coffee but then you have to leave she tells me. You cannot sit down. A kind man standing in line behind me heard the entire conversation and felt bad and came up to me afterwards asking if he could help me and go upstairs and retrieve the coffee for me while I waited downstairs with my daughter.
This is a bustling hip coffee shop where people are coming in and out, taking coffee and pastries to go, meeting groups of friends, laughing, talking loudâŠIâve never been to an adult only coffee shop/bakery like this. It was very bizarre. Itâs not an upscale five course restaurant where adults are enjoying a quiet romantic dinner, or an adult only resort, hotel or spa. That I would understand. Overall, the coffee was good but there are a lot of other coffee shops in Seoul that are similar or even better with much more caring staff. Whatâs the point of spending money at a coffee shop like this when 1) I couldnât sit down and enjoy my surroundings. Instead I had to juggle my hot coffee walking down the street 2) the staff really couldnât careless about me and offered no assistance. It was in fact another customer who...
Read moreI visited with my family today with my two children. This cafe orders from the first floor, and tables are on the second floor. The children and my husband order from the first floor, and I went up to the second floor first. The staff asked me how many we were, and I answered four. I was led to a table by the window for four people. Soon after, the children came up to the second floor. As soon as they saw the children, they came to me and said, "We have to order four drinks." We had already ordered three desserts and two cups of coffee. I asked the staff if this order was enough? They told me. If you don't order two more drinks, we had to move.( They pointed to a small table in the corner ) So We ordered two more lemonade. The scene I saw on my way out of the cafe was that there was a slightly larger space in the cafe that could have four people, but the customers were lined up on the stairs to wait instead of giving them the seat. The reason was that the waiting customers were all not a group of four and they were tourists less then four people. I think the rules of this cafe are not logical at all. After ordering three desserts and two cups of coffee, why should we be forced to take our children to another seat or order more drinks? Our children are 11 and 8, and they quietly ate dessert and the left the cafe after 20 minutes. This is my first Google review, and I thought I should let you know about the rules in this cafe. This is the worst cafe I've ever visited during my...
