Hyangmi — Restaurant in Seoul

This place feels like an old-school Myeongdong Chinese restaurant. The clam stir-fry was absolutely amazing – the broth tasted like a rich jjamppong-style soup, full of depth and flavor. I also had the pan-fried dumplings (8 pieces for 8,000 KRW) and they were crispy outside, juicy inside, just perfect with drinks or as a side. I’ve tried their hot & sour soup before too, and that was great as well.

Service isn’t the friendliest, but it matches that classic vibe of “legendary old Myeongdong spots” where the focus is all on the food. I went alone and still finished everything – that’s how good it was. 100% going back again.

韓国ドラマでお馴染みと言える、ジャージャー麺。地元の人にも、観光客にも人気のメニューで韓国風中華料理を代表します。

韓国では、4月14日はブラックデーと呼ばれ、恋人がいない人同士が黒い洋服を着てジャージャー麺を食べながら慰め合うそうです。バレンタインもホワイトデーにも縁がなかった人にイベント。

郷味（ヒャンミ）は、明洞の郵便局近くにある中華料理店が並ぶリトルチャイナタウンと呼ばれる辺りにあります。大使館前の両替所からすぐ。
