We were in Korea for 6 days. On the last day out, our group composed of a Norwegian, Polish, & Filipino dr + a 15y/o & 10 y/o, felt like we wanted to cram a Bukhansan hike... and eat at the BEST rated mexican restaurant as our prize! Starting the hike by 3pm (a different story altogether ๐ ) made us realize we may not make it on time to this restaurant-which closes by 10pm... but just the same, our already tired & hungry group braved the subway and looked forward to eating Mexican style. We were ALMOST disโคened when we read the "SOLD OUT SIGN" and it was 10pm! Luckily, the owner saw us and after sensing our desperation-super hungry by this time-i was ready to cry for my kids sake, offered whatever he could come up with and sat us at the best seat in the house-by the lovely balcony. He chatted with us, inquiring about our story and sharing some of his. We ate some burrito, tacos, nachos and the men had their glasses of Margaritas.
We were soooo touched that the staff were all smiles despite the late time and our food was served so well. Our food tasted fantastic! Clean, and very authentic. The ambiance of the place made our experience so much more memorable! We definitely enjoyed this! In Filipino "gusto" means want or excitement! GUSTONG GUSTO namin dito! (We like this place very much!) Thank you for the great food & great team. It was...
ย ย ย Read moreA very nice Mexican style restaurant in Seoul. Easy access from the Sangju Metro stop, literally 20 meters away from exit 1. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and found the ambiance to be enjoyable. Kind of quaint and homey.
The food is excellent. My wife and I shared the burrito set for two and we shared one beef and one pork burrito. It also came with two scrumptious pork tacos with soft corn tortillas. The hot sauce served with the burritos isn't overwhelming but adds a nice kick to whatever you put it on.
Our son had the quesadilla set, which also came with two tacos. He gives it a solid two thumbs up. Our daughter had the Gusto cheeseburger. She shared a bite with me and it's definitely quality beef. Nice flavor and cooked with just a hint of pink. She didn't care much for the cheese that was fried on the griddle, but it wasn't burned or anything. Just not her preference.
My wife enjoyed a rather powerful margarita. They definitely don't short you on the liquor, but it has an excellent flavor too.
All in all, I would say if you're in Seoul and want something Mexican or Tex-Mex, this is a great place to visit. A little expensive, but it's also a big city and non-traditional food. Try it out....

Rice and beans honestly were a little too small for paying 4,000โฉ. They were in a bowl and I would like to have them separated and would have liked more. Super friendly staff...Well I talked to the owner. His name is Aaron. This restaurant is extremely foriegner friendly. I had to wait a little long but the staff came to my table and explained why alot of to go orders. (I didn't complain. They did it voluntary.) Luckly, I wasn't on a lunch break, but on a day off. Their food tastes very fresh and authentic even though they try to import the most authentic foods.(pulled pork is an artform of meat) The prices are spot on but do not provide complimentary salsa and chips. In Korea most Mexican Restaurants don't give salsa and chips. There is a website if you Google it for the menu. It's summer now and they will gladly give you Icewater. It's an open area on the second floor but they add aircon and it was very comfortable, it has a great ambiance if you go there at night...actually in the day it was good too. NOT A FRIEND OR ANYTHING...
