Hongjjajang — Restaurant in Seoul

We stumbled in to get out of the rain, and we were looking for something hot and tasty to eat. It wasn’t hugely crowded at 7:30 on a Wednesday night, but there was a steady stream of diners coming and going, locals and tourists alike.

The lady running the establishment could tell we were struggling with ordering via kiosk, and took it upon herself to help us translate, so we knew what we were getting ourselves into. She answered all of our questions, and even made some recommendations.

Our meal was delicious (we had some spicy chicken and the battered/fried pork) and a couple of beers. We felt very welcomed, and would absolutely go back should we find ourselves in...

For anyone not realizing this is the best Chinese meal they’ll get in Korea, you are simply idiotic. I just had the best Jjambong. I can’t wait to try the Jjajangmyun. The pork cutlet extra was awesome too. The sides and everything were amazing. Tastes like hand made noodles on site.

This is just a bit southeast of exit 11 from Seoul station.

Reasonably priced....

The jjampong and jjajangmyeon were really good and we also got a small order of fried pork and mandu.
