Stayed at the four points Seoul location and saw this little place across the street and decided to try. Our experience at Seoul Gogi was absolutely terrible. From the moment we entered, it was clear that the staff had a blatant disdain for foreigners. They made no effort to hide their rudeness and went as far as openly mocking us.
The hostility began immediately. When we attempted to ask questions about the menu, and the non-meat and bbq options, they responded with eye-rolls and snide comments in Korean, assuming we wouldn't understand. However, it was painfully obvious that they were insulting us.
The food was lackluster and did nothing to make up for the horrendous service. Our orders were incorrect, and at this point we didnโt even bother correcting them as we wanted to leave this establishment as soon as possible.
This was, by far, the worst dining experience we have ever had. Seoul Gogi's blatant xenophobia and disrespect for their customers are appalling. If you're looking for a place that values all its patrons, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this restaurant. Their disgraceful behavior completely overshadowed any potential enjoyment of the meal. There are so many other restaurants in the area with wonderfully kind owners and equally incredible food.
Save your time, money, and dignity โ avoid Seoul Gogi...

Started by shouting at us for walking in with our wet umbrellas. Granted everywhere else weโve been in had an umbrella wrapper and we didnโt see the umbrella basket. But the way he shouted ey ey ey. Felt extremely rude. Sat down and he there the menu on the table. My partner wanted to have the wagyu beef for one person as I donโt eat meat and very impolitely gestured no. By then I just wanted to leave. Only for him to wave and say bye bye to me. Awful...
ย ย ย Read moreWe stumbled upon this place on a late Sunday night for our 24 hour layover in Incheon. My wife and kid wanted to come to downtown Seoul instead of hanging out in Incheon. It was walking distance from the train station via Arex express train.
They were accommodating to us since we don't speak Korean. One of the owner was very attentive to my 8 year old and helping cut her food, etc etc .
Price is worth it and rivals all the dozen of Korean restaurants in...
