Hyemindang — Restaurant in Seoul

New entry on my favorite cafes list for sure. The vintage aesthetic, the traditional najeonchilgi furniture and details, the apothecary details too, aesthetically it's so pleasing and such a nice work of art. It lifts up your mood, as you see it. The day I went was cold, many people there but I managed a nice cozy seat. I love how the areas are so cozy. It seems you're time traveling, too. For the part of Hyemindang, the aesthetic outside and inside the bakery is amazing. Delicious things all set up, the cakes look so beautiful, and I had a strawberry tart that tasted great. I hope the other things are too! This place is so worth a visit. Maybe the system is not so cool, because it is separate and you have to take a seat first and then go to both places to get your order two times but maybe that is why it makes it unique. Hyemindang, the delightful bakery opposite Coffee Hanyakbang, offers a cozy ambiance and delectable pastries that are both good-looking and tasty. The heritage design and self-service experience extend to Hyemindang, where the same attention to detail is evident.

We were really impressed with the guests visiting this place; everyone was polite and respectful of each other's privacy.

At Hyemindang, we enjoyed the Pain Suisse and Egg Tart. The Pain Suisse had a wonderfully crispy wrapper, and the Egg Tart was simply delicious.

Affiliated with 한약방 cafe. Seoul desperately needs more of these Joseon era hangout spots to counter the constant need to reconstruct the city. This place oozes class with its antique interior filled with inlaid mother of pearl art pieces, chandeliers, a fish tank with white koi, and an organ! Mousses look very pretty and taste fine. Hand drip coffee is good and all drinks are served in cute antique mugs. Expect this place to be busy as heck. As someone who once worked in a busy cafe, I wasn't impressed with the service at all.
