King Kebab — Restaurant in Seoul

As an avid kebab lover, whenever I travel to any country I always go out of my way to try a kebab there, and the last I visited korea I wasn’t actually able to find a place so i’m very glad I found King kebab this year. The kebab in itself is absolutely delicious, I love the fact they add fries to the kebab and the garlic sauce is one of the best i’ve had in my kebab journey. However, the only downfall of this restaurant is that in many kebab places i’ve been to, you usually get a subway style setup where you get to choose what goes into your kebab and they didn’t have that here which was a slight let down for the experience, especially because you don’t know wether they add anything you usually wouldn’t like (luckily i’m not too picky so this wasn’t a problem for me but I really do feel giving more choice to the customers could really help amp up the service and the atmosphere.) As this is near all of the clubs in Hongdae I wasn’t expecting much when it came to the general atmosphere, it looks like a place drunk people would go to if they needed food and the service is what you’d get at a normal kebab place so it lives up to that standard. When I first ate here, it was honestly really good and the team was really nice. It was also very clean. So I decided to come back the next day but I was really disappointed. The reason is that it wasn’t the same team, and that team clearly didn’t know how to cook. First of all the chief made a mistake in our order which led to him preparing them again. We had to wait 20 minutes when there was no one else but us and some deliveries! Then my food wasn’t cooked and it was cold, frozen to be exact. I know it must be hard to work here and taking care of the deliveries alone but I can’t help but be disappointed. This restaurant clearly needs some management and some staff. Bug in salad 🪲. I ordered chicken kebab, and some salad fell to tray on first byte. I was still eating when I noticed that the green bug was walking in the tray. I went to the counter and showed the guy, when he saw it he said what is it. I told him this was a salad bug, and then he pretended he could not see and push the bug with his finger, and after that showed me there was nothing, he had some eye problems he could not see small things.

The bug from salad, it's called aphid, it's might not be their fault. But how they handled this is questionable. Are there some hygiene issues there?
