This was the first meal when I just arrived in Korea today. It was pretty nice and comfortable. Firstly, I had a fly fish roe rice as a starter, (₩4900), it’s indescribably amazing that it got the crispy seaweed and the crunchy-ish fly fish roe in the rice. 4.5/5 Of course, I also had a jokbal, and it looked pretty nice. But sadly, it was not my favourite by the fact that I’m not a meaty person, it was pretty chewy though. (₩39000) 3/5 As you see in the photo, I ordered a bowl of spicy noodles in the bowl, and I MUST admit that it’s SOOOOOOO scrumptious when you add it in the Tteokbokki sauce! 5/5, it’s slayin’! Lastly, the Tteokbokki was pretty nice, it’s chewy and tasty. There were also some fish balls and some eggs in the sauce though. 4.5/5 Must admit that transitional Korean food are SERIOUSly INCREDIBLE. It took us for a total price of ₩125000, to be honest, there were still some other food I had, but I did not take it in the photos though.

🇰🇷 Visited 12/12/2023 Cold winter 🥶 Tuesday evening. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience. Was strolling along hongdae street. And was contemplating what to eat and we came across this Myth Jokbal restaurant. We have heard many experiences shared by friends on the delicious jokbal. We are a group of 06 pax consisting of 3 adults and 3 children. The waiting time was around 10 minutes. And we are shown to our table. And place order for 2 main courses of jokbal with different cooking. 1 with braised and the other blanch. There were several side dishes served and a complimentary soup with noodles. We also ordered 2 servings of tuna rices and seaweed rice 🍚 for the kids. The jokbal was really succulent and flavourful with the sauces. We were really happy with the dishes even though the service was below average. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the good and satisfying dinner we have in hongdae

We ordered the medium-sized garlic jokbal (pig trotter) and our table was swiftly set up with complimentary side dishes, including salad, noodles, and soup that had a mild kimchi flavor that’s not overly spicy. When the jokbal arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite ordering the smallest size (medium), it proved more than sufficient for the four of us. The sight of the garlic layer on top made my mouth water, and I couldn’t resist diving in. The texture is tender, with just the right amount of chewiness, and the flavors are well-balanced, combining savory and slightly sweet elements. If the pork trotters and the side dishes aren’t enough, try the Hangover Soup. It’s a very comforting bowl of soup packed with different variety of fish cakes. Whether you’re a jokbal aficionado or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is worth a visit.

Located not far from the subway station, very easy to find. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable for the job there doing. The portion was sufficient, the set was enough for the three of us. The main dish here is the pork obviously it said it all on the main entrace. They have also other food on the menu to offers.To my surprise, the noodle soup that came as part of the set menu was actually quite tasty. All of it was amazing! The jokbal came with a large almond lettuce salad, and there was also soup on the side. I think we ordered too much. Anyway, food is fantastic, had a good friends to share with and good atmosphere to enjoy the night.

I’m korean and I went there because one of my Taiwanese friends read post about this restaurant. My friend really enjoyed it. Well, yeah. If youu wanna try this food, then it’s located in Hongdae and the taste is normal so you could try it. But to be honest to me, korean, the restaurant is too crowded and the taste is too sweet. Even staffs are not that kind ( I think it’s because the restaurant is too busy) And I saw lots of tourists in there. When there are many foreign guys in the restaurant instead of local guys, taste would be good but it also means the taste has changed for them.

Read a lot about this place before I came. But to be honest, the main dish which is the pork feet was not as amazing as I thought (maybe I am expecting too much). It was a bit too sweet for my taste. If it came in a smaller portion with cheaper price that would also be better. To my surprise, the noodle soup that came as part of the set menu was actually quite tasty.
