Taste wise, a decent place for Vietnamese food. However, they must soak all the ingredients in salt as well as MSG, because the food makes you BLOAT like a pufferfish. Few hours later and next day, prepare to spend time and effort getting water out of your system. As for the experience... Apparently their claim to fame - ban mi, which is a Vietnamese "sub" made with rice baguette and meat/veggies filling - runs out VERY early in the day. We were there around 7:30 p.m. and they had already run out of ban mi. And we were told that it runs out in the morning. In fact, they only had 3 out of 10 or so items available from the menu. For the life of me I don't understand restaurants that run out of menu items early, yet do nothing about managing their inventory so that customers can enjoy everything on the menu. The pho was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. A decent broth, noodles weren't overcooked, and the portion was relatively generous. Unfortunately, you have to specifically ask for the cilantro and bean sprouts, which, in my book, is a must add-on to pho. Again, the worst part of the experience was SODIUM and MSG. The pho made my hands and feet BLOAT and body bloat. It took me 3 days to recover. NOT going back.

I was satisfied but this is not for tourists who are looking for authentic Vietnamese style food. My shrimp salad roll had beef in it (which I was happy with), but it also had pickled radish, so it’s tailored to Korean local palette. There wasn’t a classic flavoured banhmi sandwich but a localized version of sandwiches with Korean sauces or bugolgi type beef. The iced Vietnamese coffee also tasted like watered down Nescafé with somehow a bit of horlicks or chocolate flavor. It didn’t come in the traditional Vietnamese drip coffee on a glass of ice, but maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I did see those little Vietnamese stainless steel drip canisters. They have free WiFi! Overall, good for locals on break if they work in the area for a quick and easy meal, but not if ur looking for a foodie experience.

Delicious food and lovely staff. This place has the essence of Vietnamese cuisine, Saigon beer, Hanoi beer and you were deeply imprinted in my mind. Grateful for this place!
