Kotton Seoul is a breath of fresh air in every sense. Stepping through their doors separates you from the frantic world outside.

A masterpiece of Feng shui; with quality and simplicity, it sets the tone to appreciate the sophisticated and delicate coffees and cakes on offer. All of which are made on-site and something to behold.

Everything in this place is considered and a pleasure to experience. The ambience, atmosphere, decor, cutlery and crockery, service, coffee and cakes.

I came here daily during my stay in Seoul. I had to. The peace and tranquility offered, allowing me to be present and mindful whilst enjoying good coffee was addictive. I laughed to myself after my first visit when the barista’s valediction in his quiet confidence was “see you tomorrow” knowing that the flat white and cookie had me convicted.

Do yourself a favour and visit...

So this place is equipped with a high end espresso machine and the crew who has as high-end ego as the machine. We ordered an espresso and flat white today and waited the orders to be served. And about ten minutes later we thought it is taking too long and looked into what’s happening to realize that the crews were doing coffee tasting. They brewed multiple espresso shots and enjoyed their good time never caring about our order. We went to the counter and called our order off and they said “oh sorry we will prepare yours. “ haha. No thanks. Enjoy your precious coffee time. Super rude and arrogant people there. Why would they test their new coffee beans when they have customers to serve? And lame excuses were also funny: we have new beans and we were testing them. Do it in your house or when there is no customer. Never use this...

If I could give KOTTON six stars, I would! ☕✨ I visited Seoul last summer and ended up grabbing coffee here FOUR days in a row during my five-day stay—yes, it’s that good. Their coffee is smooth, rich, and absolutely worth coming back for.

Even though I always got takeaway, I couldn’t help but admire the beautiful decor every time I walked in. The vibe is stylish yet cozy, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly.

If you're in Seoul and love good coffee, don’t think twice—just go to KOTTON. You might find yourself coming back again and again (just like I did)! 💛☕...

Very stylish and contemporary minimalist design. The traditional Hanok Roof tiles add an interesting twist to the deco and mood. Service was warm, friendly and ever helpful with requests. Got the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Latte with Chocolate Chip Scone. Fantastic balance and flavor. Barista did warn that it could be too sweet but it's attraction undeniable from the surrounding crowd. The fact that this cafe is so hidden in an interwining alleyway of traditional houses in Insadong area adds more to the discovery of this hidden gem. A must visit whenever you are in Seoul.

Best coffee we had when we were in Seoul! So glad we bought some “Silk” beans too - the coffee we’ve made using an aeropress with these beans has been so delicious! The chocolate chip levain cookie was also so so good - it has a crumbly exterior and a cakey gooey inside. I enjoyed this cafe much more than onion. It seamlessly blends traditional hanok with clean minimalism. I love how the seats are spaced out so it feels nice and spacious, and not cramped. We actually changed the plans for our last day so we could come back here. We will definitely be back!
