If you ever find yourself in Seoul and want to experience something truly irreplaceable, Suzie Q is the place.
Hidden in a small basement near Sangsu Station, this LP bar isn’t just about music — it’s about soul, memory, and warmth.
The sound here is, without exaggeration, one of the most incredible analog sound experiences in the world. The speakers, the turntables, the room itself — everything is tuned perfectly to let the vinyl breathe.
The bar is filled wall to wall with tens of thousands of vinyl records. These aren’t just decorations — they’re a lifetime collection, carefully curated by the owner’s family with deep love and dedication. You can feel the history in every groove.
Guests can write down song requests, and the owner — a kind and wise woman with beautiful taste in music — plays them live on LP. No Spotify. No algorithms. Just humans, records, and stories.
She also welcomes everyone with a warm heart. Even if you’re alone, you’ll never feel lonely here. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why music matters.
I’ve traveled a lot, and yet, Suzie Q remains my favorite place in Korea. If you’re lucky enough to visit, take your time, request your favorite song, and just… listen.
This place deserves to be cherished — not just by locals, but by music lovers...
Read moreThis place is incredible. Don’t let the video dissuade you, I went at like 8 pm when it was quiet. More fun later at night. A bar with vinyl records a plenty. It’s a bit of a hard find, so recommend you use Kakao/Naver Maps to find the entrance. The woman who owns this place is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Her English is okay, but her other employee who is the DJ of the bar has perfect English. Both have a large amount of kindness though. Every type of drink you can think of, you can get here. Non alcoholic or alcoholic. They serve you snacks to accompany your drinks. Snacks like popcorn, mixed nuts, pretzels, etc. This is a classic rock/pop type of bar. At your table, you can request songs to be played straight from the insanely massive wall of vinyl records. Large speakers blast good quality music. Trust me, if you can think of it, they’ll have it. They actually expect you to request music, so don’t be shy. I requested Tina Turner and got to hear it. Really, really cool vibe. A must visit on a late night out in Seoul’s Hongdae neighborhood if you’re...

I visited there for the first time tonight and was made to feels as though I was a regular. Be sure to chat with the owners as even though they speak little English, they have a passion for music and have very inquisitive minds. Also make sure to request some music and take advantage of the rich-sounding vinyl and speakers and you...
