Bésame Mucho — Restaurant in Adeje

My name is Francisco, I am from Spain and my parents live in the Island.

I was on Thursday 11th March 2021. That day the restaurant was one third full (1/3).

Beforehand, I called several times to the phone number that is on the website and nobody answered. When I arrived nobody was at the door and I had to call to the kitchenhand/chef assistant if someone was nearby to help me find a table.

After a few minutes waiting, a brunette waitress asked me without even looking at my eyes what I wanted. I told her that I was looking for a table which I also try to book, but nobody picks up the phone. She replied me shamelessly that the phone did not ring. I expected an answer like: I am sorry, today it is just me and nobody is attending the phone.

I look the other way, and decided to enter. There was an emptied table (table for two people) with the best views and I asked if we could sit there. She said in a very distant and impersonal way that she was too busy to clean that table - I can promise that nobody was queueing to enter into the restaurant and 2/3 of the restaurant was empty. I could not understand it and I was speechless.

Again, I decided to ignore it and sit down. When I calmed my nerves, I open the menu and I saw the scarce variety of meals. And the worst part was how pricey, it was for just a paella, which is not even local. As the best Spanish paellas makers are in Valencia and Alicante. I have had Paella and Fisch several times in Alicante on the beach and prices would never be so high for such thing like a paella or fish.

We were sitting far from the views, with a poor customer service and a pricey menu. Eventually, we decided to go.

Just went here two nights ago, at about 20'o clock with 3 others. And i must say that i was not impressed at all... First of all we waited about 15 minutes to have our order taken, we literally had to ask the waitress passing by if we were okay to order? To which she sighed abit and took our drinks order.. and said that someone would be with us in 5 min to take a food order, and if not to let her know... Anyways we get our drinks and they put some bread and aioli and a little tuna pallet cleanser (tasty - BUT they charged 10 euro for the bread which they could have asked us before as we didn't even eat most of the bread!!!!). We tell the waitress that we are ready to order food, my partner went for some sea bream fish dish (very tasty i might ad and a cheaper options on the menu), me and my friend went for the rice prawn dish which tasted undercooked (crunchy rice?!?!) And one red prawn for each of us... This dish costs a whopping 34 euros PER HEAD so 64 euro for a tasteless crunchy dish, that felt like we were being robbed... Steak dish looked like it had been run over by a car completely overcooked, but this is a fish restaurant so i won't comment on the meat as that's not really why you would come in here :) all in all i think that there are PLENTY of better restaurants in this area and i cannot recommend this restaurant and service (or lack...

For the birthday of my girlfriend went to the beach to have a nice dinner and watch the sunset together. Bésame Mucho looked very nice so we went in. Two of the 15 tables were taken, but we anyway asked if we can sit at one of the 3 open tables closest to the beach side. None of the tables had a reservation marker. The waiter said we can't sit there if we don't have a reservation. We asked when the latest reservation at any of these tables would be and that we could hurry. He declined to give this information (because probably there were no reservations, given that there were only 4 people eating there). When I remarked that it would be nice since it's the birthday of my girlfriend he just smirked and said "Then you should have reserved for your girlfriend". He then offered us the table next to the toilet. We left this place immediately. No good food (which they don't have according to the other reviews here) justifies being treated like that, especially on ones birthday.

Edit: As you can see from their copy-pasted answer to this review, they don't even read (and care) about the real experience people had there and don't even apologize (just a weak "we are sorry"). All the more...
