Avoid the kebab shops. After my boyfriend was asked why I was charged 15 euros for 2.50 chips the owners started yelling at us.
The guy serving food began walking out of the food area and then other staff members got involved and proceeded to assault my boyfriend, by forcing him to the ground and repeatedly kicking him (including at his head and neck, which could have killed him).
It is unjustifiable for 10 men to kick and punch one person questioning why they were charged over the odds for fries. Also them forcing him to delete videos of evidence, proceeding to make him go on Recently Deleted to ensure it. They know what they have done and are avoiding the police with their lack of online presence so we can not directly resolve this with the police.
This can happen to anyone.
It has left a sour note for our holiday for knowing what pain they have caused, and I am reluctant to ever come back to Tenerife.
Please avoid this strip at all costs as pickpocketing is also prevalent, as while beating they obviously wanted to rob him aswell and we’re going for his phone and wallet.
I’d also like to add this is our second time on the strip. Last year our first time here, his phone was stolen and the bar Jumping Jacks said to pay them 60 euros to get it back. Additionally, standing outside of the club I was stood and men in a car drove and stopped right infront of me. One came up to me, and stood very close next to me asking who I was with - there were more men in the car, and I ran away. Reiterating it is a busy strip and people will not help you as they are drunk.
Women are not safe here, and men are not either. If you are planning a lads holiday, girls holiday, group trip, a vacation of any sorts this is the area of tenerife to avoid - as you will only be taken advantage of for your money or for being a woman stood alone for a...
Read moreshould have read the reviews, deffo never coming here again, felt uncertain the first time we drove past here but chose to give it a go. For some reason, our group got given a bunch of free drinks by the staff at Jumping Jacks; don't remember much after this (I can't say for certain that our group of three got spiked, but as Polish lads, we love to drink, and this was nowhere near our usual)
I came to a few hours later, ofc without my phone and nowhere near my two mates, prolly becoming the zombie other reviews talk about. I was hoping my phone was only lost, but once I regrouped with the others and heard the exact same story, I realised the phones are definitely not lost.... Pretty sure the staff help the robbers clock who has valuables (2 S23 Ultras and an iPhone 14 Pro Max got robbed). All three of us got robbed either at the same time or seperate.
EITHER WAY, AVOID THIS WHOLE STRIP LIKE THE PLAGUE - lookie lookie guys every 10 steps (we also waited 4hrs+ to put a report in at the police station for the stolen phones and wallets; Tenerife is becoming more and more anti-tourist).
(p.s would love to put photos here...
Read moreAfter hearing all the bad reviews about it we were unsure about this place as there was only 2 of us travelling both 19 years old but reps constantly harass try get you into the clubs and bars and lucky lucky men asking for coffee shop and asking for you to buy “ Charlie “ as we were walking down to the beach in the day we had to cut across this or we decided to to make it quicker a Irish guy approached us and told us to keep safe as he had his phone stolen previously night before and be careful if you’re travelling here i would recommend go in a large group because otherwise you will be targeted if in a smaller group everyone has different experiences but personally for me and my friend it wasn’t quite it for us 2 so we just stuck to Irish bars and there’s plenty of more places in Tenerife to go to other...
