I have found my favourite cafe , I found it yesterday , it was closing , this morning I am here early before I get a bus or train to Murcia . It is long , high ceilings, dark beams , it has a collection of old chairs and tables to sit at , there are three large wooden bladed fans that provide a gentle draft of air on the arms , there is a garden space , it would be unbearably packed with people in London , but here there is a mellow hum of voices , people coming and going , the staff are warm and friendly , the whole feeling is of being gently wrapped in a favourite blanket , there are plants everywhere , hanging fronds , I’m guessing some are not real because of the interior shade but I may be wrong , hand made cakes sit regally under glass domes , some walls are painted dark , others are left rough even peeling … it is Jevole cafe . 5 stars because I can’t give more! My partner and I moved from the UK to Spain and Jevole has been our local go to for coffees, cakes and tostadas! We have seen Jevole grow from when they first opened, when they didn’t have a menu to now where they host cheese and wine nights in the evening and a great coffee, cake, tostado menu during the day. The staff are so friendly too! We have even become friends with some of them. The interior and decor is just beautiful! Our favourite place to go to unwind after work and to sometimes even work from!
