Creative restaurant with great service, beautiful presentation and with a pretty random menu. The tortillas were made fresh and we could taste it. Highly recommend everything with a wrap. However the Asian dishes have room for improvements.
Vietnamese NEM isn’t nem. Nem is the deep fried version of Vietnamese spring rolls so the name is misleading for me as a Vietnamese. The marinated soy sauce added nothing to the rolls. Umami vegan sweet and sour fish sauce or creamy hoisin/peanut butter would have given the dish different dimensions. A tofu strip and a little bit of vermicelli noodle would take these rolls to the next level.
Bao - overall a nice combination of flavors, though i got choked on a patch of lemongrass or ginger, assuming due to using machine to chop/grind.
Kimchi rolls are crunchy on the outside, nice sweet creamy sauce on top but not enough. There was way too much acidity in this dish, empowering everything else. Kimchi isn’t authentic, lacking the right spices and especially chili powder (misleading as the name is spicy kimchi - zero spicy in this). It tasted like a bunch of plain pickled cabbage and carrots.
Overall we might come back to check out the rest of the Mexican food if we are in town again. Shame those we really wanted to try...
Read moreVery poor, could not recommend at all. Waiter was very poor service, we were taking our time to decide what to eat, but he asked for a menu back to give to another customer. We got the smash burger and the sweet potato gnochi. Smash burger was tasty but small the fries were not good, the gnochi was flavourless and had no substance, it just melted in my mouth, I didn't finish it and I was starving having walked every inch of Alicante for the day. We also had wine, which I regretted immediately as it was not good at all, in a country where good wine is plentiful and cheap, why serve bad wine that costs 5 euro for a very miserly glass (quarter glass), are you so determined to make a profit off your customers without providing a good level of service. We cannot understand how anyone gave this restaurant a good...

As one does, I arrived to lluvia hungry, with last night’s sleep still busying my eyesight, expecting the classic meal disappointment one receives as a vegan on holidays.
I chose my trusty tostada de aguacate with tomate rallado, and added one of their seta crepes (rice flour and soya milk) just to try out something different. What an epic, flavourful, balanced portion of goodness. Fatty, slightly sweet, combining perfectly with the creamy blend of funghi and salad.
Even the toast stood out, with beautiful salt flakes and the right amount of pepper to make it simple wonderful.
Worth taking it all in slowly.
