Mixed. Some servers are lovely but the one I got today was horrific. So rude, passed me over for someone else, didn't apologise, didn't ask who's next (which is common in Spain). My Spanish is ok but if you're met with downright hostility, it tends to falter especially when the vocabulary is pretty specific. I wanted a wholemeal loaf but she wasn't that interested and vaguely showed me something. I ended up walking out with a loaf which cost €5.20 which is ridiculous for Spain. She practically threw it at me and struggled with the machine but again didn't apologise or even look me in the eye. She is heavily made up with very thin painted on eyebrows. She was all smiles for the Spanish customers she recognised. Service in the little local bakery I went to earlier in the day in El Campello couldn't have been more different. Won't be going back. Avoid, there are lots of other bakeries available or just go the supermarket, the bread is usually fine. I know we're tourists and can be clueless but I do actually speak Spanish so god knows how she would treat you...
