Tienda de Café & kitchen — Restaurant in Alicante

Living 5 mins from this cafe, I have probably been 9-10 times in the last 2 months since it opened. I was always surprised that the price was always different for the same take-out coffee - cappuccino with almond milk. Prices ranged between 2.70 - 3.30 and while this isn't a huge deal it was annoying and roughly a 20 percent difference for no reason. The other day I challenged the price always being different and was a bit shocked that the owener seemed to have some kind of mental episode in response. He refused to listen me, got increasingly angry and raising his voice while jabbing the menu in my face that 'the price is what it is'. I had no problem with the price - just the constantly changing price range for a regular was strange to me. I am no longer a regular of this cafe due to his poor treatment of me. I guess he was having a bad day but this really was unacceptable attitude. His staff however are super kind and lovely and if I could review them separately I would submit 5 stars...

Visiting the beautiful city of Alicante, Spain we walked by this place at least 4 times, always eyeing the appetizing empanadas in the window. After tasting some excellent empanadas from other Alicante restaurants we had high hopes. Unfortunately, the only words that give justice to these empanadas is PURE GARBAGE. What we tasted was flavorless dough wrapped around bland, unseasoned filling. We tasted 4 versions: Beef, Chicken, Ham and 4 Cheeses. One was worse and more tasteless than the other. My message to the proprietors of this establishment is: DO YOU HAVE EVEN AN IOTA OF PRIDE OR ARE YOU CONTENT SELLING THIS TASTELESS TRASH TO TOURISTS? Needless to say, we will...

Start with the fact that the food is pretty bad. The waiter convinced us to come in when we were checking out the menu, showed us the special for 14.90 euros, so we got it to share. Then when we wanted to pay they said that since we shared it we have to pay 20.10 euros. Would ve been nice to know when he asked if we are getting it to share. The attitude of staff was as if we tried to break the sacred rule and they caught us redhanded.
