Acai Beach — Restaurant in Barcelona

They were very un polite at the entrance already, but we still gave it a try. We requested açai, and explained that I was allergic to nuts. The waitress didn’t even talked Spanish so she asked for help to a colleague. When doing the açai, she contaminated mine doing first the one with peanuts, and when asked she said she didn’t contaminate it, but I had to ask it English so she understood. I saw her with the same gloves grabbing both the granola and then the coconut for my bowl. While seeing this, the rest of the staff was complaining out loud about their jobs, which made us feel even more unsure about the order we were doing. I had a light reaction eating a couple of bite, and didn’t ate anymore because I was scared of a bigger one. Not to repeat ever again. Type of place that scams tourists, and treat locals like we don’t understand...

It used to be an amazing açai place with long waiting time but a great quality. However everything comes to an end and this is exactly the case. After coming two times and having mediocre bowls with poor quality ingredients I made my research and found out that the owner of the place have changed and they are no more Acai&Me, although they still pretend to be by using Açai&Me menu. That’s another problem, because the personnel don’t know the ingredients and 2 times they forgot one of the ingredients that was included in the bowls I ordered. Although, I must say that the staff is quite pleasant. I add 1 extra star, because the cleanliness did improve and the waiting time is really short as there are no many clients anymore.

I am living 5 minutes from here, and was planning to come one day with my boyfriend. Today when I was walking to the bus station a heavy rain started and I ran here to be safe until I get my umbrella from my bag. The waiter threw the menu in front of me very rudely. I needed to leave for work so I kindly said I need to leave after I get my umbrella out, asked if I can use their toilet. He showed me the beach toilet under heavy rain and said go out free toilet. Very rude. Would I ever come enjoy my time here in a place where I am treated like this under heavy sudden rain? I don’t think so.
