Bar Clemen's Boquería — Restaurant in Barcelona

We got married in Barcelona many years ago and remember fondly Bar Clemen's, where we enjoyed fresh seafood for our breakfast, great coffee, and tremendous hospitality. We came back this year and felt so incredibly lucky to be able to enjoy it again.. "Price is what you pay, value is what you receive." I've never felt more comfortable spending my hard earned money here. These past two days, we got the iberico with fried egg and fries, the sausage was excellent, and all of the seafood is so simply cooked but so perfect to enjoy: razor clams, scallops, and even the fresh oysters. Note: They do make their own red sangria and it was very juicy with no aftertaste: very recommended. We hope it doesn't take us another 10 years to come back to see them again. Hands down this bar restaurant is a GEM!!! EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious fresh and blew us away!!! This truly kind family run business with unique recipes are out of this world! We ate a spicy fresh caught shrimp in a butter garlic sauce, a yummy warm garbanzo bean dish, a bream white fish with a ratatouille on top that knocked our socks off, a rice with vegetables & beef, an octopus marinated in something delicious and the most scrumptious fresh anchovies in a tangy tart lemon olive oil sauce that also blew us away! It went down perfectly with their refreshing fresh homemade sangria too!!! Love this place in the happening exciting Boquera off the La Rambla ! Really fun sitting at the counter too!! We will be back!!!...

A truly wonderful eatery in the far corner of an incredible market. I had the Langoustines and Razor Clams; both of which were to die for. But actually what makes this place so great is the friendliness and service - something I wouldn't have expected in such a busy place. At the centre of it all is Kate, the English Rose in the spanish inferno that is La Boqueria. She was really friendly, polite, always smiling and gave fantastic recommendations and service. I do not joke when I say that I made a decision there and then to take my wife and kids to Barcelona next year thanks to this market, this cafe, this service and her.
