Im writing this in hope this place will improve. But this used to be my favorite place in the city, came here many times but i think this was my last time. They had a lot of vegan/vegetarian meals in the past, but they changed the menu thinking they are progressing and somehow they took out all the good meals. They stayed with the basic ones, which we ordered, and literally none of them was tasty. Hummus: not done as hummus but as Tahini that lacks texture and taste. Both Salads we ordered were extremely salty to a level we didn't eat the food (don't use flake salt as if it was notmal salt). They even took the Kubane bread which was the tastiest, and stopped serving the good garlic olives they used to serve, and they charge over priced sinple home made pitaz which was tasty yet, is just a Pita.
So basically you pay for hummus, salads, breads with one glass of wine around a 80¢ for a couple. Crazy.
Service and atmosphere are still great. Also the wine. Thats for sure.
Bottom line, when you return to the last menu ill be happy to come back. I'm sure I would love to give it a try in the future again if i see a new menu, and change back my review to the old...

This charming little plaza has quickly become my favorite spot in Barcelona, whether it’s for brunch, lunch, or dinner. It’s the perfect place to make your go-to hangout .
The food here is outstanding – from portion sizes to presentation and taste, everything is spot-on. The dishes feel fresh and healthy, and I especially love that they use sumac in some of their recipes. It adds such a unique flavor! If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add gluten-free bread options, but honestly, the bread they serve didn’t bother me at all.
Another bonus: if you’re in the mood for tea, there’s a wonderful tea shop called Caj Chai just across the plaza. They offer a variety of unique teas, making it a perfect follow-up to your meal.
Take your time here, enjoy a relaxed brunch in the plaza, and then stroll through the Gothic Quarter. We tried the Bocadillo de Cordero Asado, Shawarma de Cordero, Albondigas de Cordero, and the tasting platter – all were perfect.
Prices are fair, especially for the quality and the experience....
Read moreOur guidebook recommended Levante as an affordable option for dinner. It was quite the opposite and service was poor.
I ordered the falafel at €15 (plus 10% for sitting outside, 3m from the kitchen) we received 3 pieces of falafel that were quite dry and only slightly warm.
In total we ordered four dishes. One arrived wrong, when I queried it the waitress was a little argumentative but did take it back, we had to ask three times for the mixed dips we ordered. They arrived after we had finished everything else: three dips with one pitta bread! When we ordered extra bread it went to the table next to us (there were four tables in total so not complicated) but still ended up on our bill. I had to ask for it to be removed (€5.50!)
We also ordered a jug of sangria, which was not good at all.
The quality of the food was ok, nice flavours but definitely overpriced.
Our bill came to just over €80, my partner left hungry! I left disappointed, I hope the next edition of our guidebook revises their recommendation as we felt...
