Ayer fui a este sitio por primera vez. Primero intenté hacer mi pedido online para pasar a recogerlo, pero no funciona la web. Así que les llamé por teléfono. Después de varios intentos, me respondió un hombre que ya de manera muy ruda me dijo que no hacen envíos, que pasara a recogerlo, a lo que estuve de acuerdo. Pero en 30 minutos, me dijo, por que estaba a tope. Acto seguido me tiró el teléfono antes de que pudiera decirle mi nombre.

A pesar de ello fui allí a buscar mi Panini que, tras 30 minutos, no estaba hecho. En el local, no había nadie, apenas un hombre tomando una caña y el lugar estaba prácticamente impecable, sin rastro de una gran movida al medio día. Pero en fin... accedí, aunque sin recibir disculpas, a que lo prepara en el momento. Y como había esperado mucho y tenía mucha hambre pensé en introducir más productos en mi Sandwich por un coste adicional por supuesto.

El panini en cuestión llevaba algún tipo de embutido, tomate seco, pesto y queso. Y a mi se me ocurrió que también podía llevar mortadela. Pero cuando lo pedí el hombre puso una cara de asco tal, que le pregunté qué sucedía. Y me dijo que cómo era posible que pidiera eso, que eso no pegaba. Entonces le dije ok, pues entonces no. Pero como tenía mucha hambre después le pedí que le pusiera berenjenas. Y ahí ya el hombre baja los hombros y me mira como quien se da por vencido ante una ignorante que no sabe comer. Y le pregunto qué pasa otra vez. Y me responde muy borde que debo comer el Panini tal y como es. Que pruebe la receta como es, sin ponerle nada mas.

A esas alturas yo ya estaba en Shock con la forma de atender de este hombre. Así que insistí en que pusiera berenjenas, lo que hizo muy a regañadientes. Parecía que el Panini lo iba a comer él y más aún que lo iba a pagar él.

Y quizás puedo estar de acuerdo, en aprender sobre gusto gastronómico italiano, pero no de esa manera. Porque por mas que se tenga un buen producto, ( porque tengo que decir que ese Panini en concreto esta muy bueno) no se puede maltratar a los clientes de aquella manera. Había un arrogancia y una intolerancia por parte de ese hombre, que me quedé consternada. Tanto que me pareció que valía la pena comunicarlo por aquí, para que sepáis lo que vais a encontrar allí además de comida italiana. Un hombre que tal vez le guste su negocio y aprecié mucho la calidad de su producto, pero tal vez no le guste mucho el trabajo de atención al cliente. Pero eso también requiere calidad. Needed a quick bite that was short walk from Plaza Goya Rooms, and found this place. Based on the good reviews, I had no doubts that it would be a solid choice, but it exceeded my expectations! The location is adorable and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The food is the star of the show. I ordered the Libidine, and it was love at first bite! The bread was fresh and perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft chewy center. The roast beef was tender and well-seasoned (not too salty), and the mayo, lettuce, pickles (not too sour or salty) added the right balance to create a perfect sandwich! Certainly a little place with personality, Santo Porcello portraits the town-style Italian café where one can very well imagine locals buying their groceries in everyday life in the middle of the twenty century. One of those places with charm where tasting prosciutto is not the only thing you can do if you want to experience the Italian cuisine; as they have a whole variety of foods, for taste or buying.
