what i love about this place: the restaurants atmosphere feels very warm! reminds me of the warmth of filipino culture back in my home country, philippines. restaurant is spacious. offers enough seat/table for 2-10 pax. foods are served within 10-15 minutes depending on busyness.
the foods with authentic taste: ❗️THE BEST PORK BBQ I HAVE TRIED IN BARCELONA! TO DIE FOR! VERY RICH IN FLAVOUR! ❗️ THE BEST LECHE FLAN!!! it has enough sweetness - not too much. a perfect consistency. can be ordered in different size: ¼ , ½, or an entire piece for 6€. ❗️THE BEST LECHON KAWALI!!! perfectly crispy in thick slices!😋
what they can improve: ❗️their waiters: approachable and kind. although, i could sense that their energy are too "stiff" and serious. i hope they can be more lose as it will help them to be more approachable and have a more welcoming and warm ambiance inside... try to have small talks with the customers to create a "close" vibe like a family. thank you! ❗️the pork lumpia: the taste is very commercialised. not even close to authentic lumpia in philippines. ❗️the beef karekare is good. served with shrimp paste. i just hope that they can improve the taste of the sauce by adding salt. therefore, the flavour would stand alone even without the shrimp paste. and a little bit more of peanut butter for better sauce taste. i will order again! ❗️the verion of their lechon paksiw tastes more tangy than sweet. perhaps, too much laurel leaves. which is different from what ive been used too. ❗️the bopis is saucy version. perfect for people who love it with sauce. ❗️the pritong vientre is coated and fried perfectly! although, i think, it is better if they could cut it in rings shape rather than thin and straight. it gives better texture and easier to chew.
lovely restaurant! im glad to discover it. i would...
Read moreMy favourite Filipino Restaurant in Barcelona! Tried it out for the first time after seeing a video go viral on TikTok and both the taste and the service did not disappoint!
Cons:
Due to its popularity it can be a bit loud at times, so if you're looking for a more quite place to eat at, you'd have to catch a time when they're not too full, perhaps for brunch.
Pros:
The food tastes authentic but still has their own flair added to them! The owner is so sweet! The waiter who served us was quite friendly and witty, we loved that! We really enjoyed our time there!
I like that they also offer non-Filipino dishes such as sandwhiches if you're looking for a lighter meal.
The ensaymadas they sell there are a must try! Bought it for on-the-go and it was quite fullfilling! Your craving will be satisfied for sure! Not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness.
The service was impecabble. The atmosphere was beautiful and homely. They give you a glimpse into typical architectural traits of Filipinos homes like their colourful chairs and the designated paintings you should catch a glimpse of before leaving the restaurant.
All in all, give Los Hermanos a try! You won't regret it, I promise! A taste of home...
Read moreQuite lucky that the food was somewhat acceptable because the service was horrible. I’ve been to a lot of places all over the world and this tops the worst service I’ve experienced and I never expected it to come from a Filipino restaurant. We had to ask to order food because they just kept walking past us, asked to pay and even when I went to pay I found myself just standing there for a good few minutes not knowing what’s going on as the priority was to do everything but let me pay my bill (messing around behind the counter, going to the freezer etc all the while I had the bill in my hands and went to the counter as they never approached us so we can pay) because communication was non existent. Disappointing as I purposely looked for Filipino food during our travel to Barcelona as this was food that I grew up with and safe to say our experience...
