Cafè Palau — Restaurant in Barcelona

We visited the Palau de la Música Catalana today, and since we had a 30-minute wait, we opted to grab a coffee at the café downstairs. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very friendly and appeared to be primarily focused on making money, keeping empty tables reserved for customers interested in their three-course meal deal. My wife, who wasn't really hungry, asked for the coffee and a croissant, but the waitress didn't seem pleased at all. Feeling somewhat pressured to choose their meal deal, I ended up ordering a tuna salad and pork sausage. The food was quite mediocre; the salad resembled something my son might have prepared for me, and the ingredients weren't of great quality. The same applied to the sausage. We had to wait 45 minutes for my meal (a salad and a sausage), causing us to miss our guided tour time slot. When I requested the bill, the waitress informed me that there was a dessert and drink included in the price. Why didn't she mention this when I placed my order? and made my wife pay separately for her drink and croissant!! On top of that, I was charged full price for something I never even received. It was a very disappointing experience, and I definitely won’t...

I purchased 2 tickets to museum + glass of wine + ibérico ham sandwich, sounded like a GREAT deal, UNTIL……. I requested my food vouchers, I approach the bar…. Got a rude awakening…. service was horrible The bar attendant lady was rude and upset with us because we purchased our tickets and meal online she indicated the restaurant and theater was different she was yelling at us and very upset, told us what’s the matter with us ordering a sandwich at cena time (2pm), she started pouring our wine and told us to only sit outside…. And wanted to charge us, told her again that we purchased our meal with theater entrance, I had to log in and show her the process on my phone after all her rudeness she asked a waitress, waitress explained the new meal + wine offer available with museum tickets after all the drama bar attendant wasn’t apologetic and just made excuses for her rudeness.

We didn’t get an Ibérico ham sandwich we got a Brie cheese baguette sandwich, very disappointed with complete lack of all staff seeing everything and not jumping in, just tolerating this bar lady go on and on with her awful...

Horrible service. Was treated very poorly by a male server. Charged more than advertised for el menu del dia (13 euros vs 15.95). Served the foulest tasting red wine I have ever had, could not finish it. I had hummus as a starter, not bad. I ordered the quinoa burger as a second plate and it was just two quinoa/veggie patties and some poorly dressed lettuce - i was expecting a burger with a bun. I had the fruit skewer for dessert and it was literally a strawberry, a cube of pineapple, a cube of cantaloupe, a small prune. Was not even offered coffee (which was included in the price) but at that point I wanted to get out of there. I would say visit just to see the Palau (which is gorgeous) but the staff there was just as rude so it ruined the whole experience....
