COHETE BARCELONA — Restaurant in Barcelona

We called to book that same night and we were shocked to find ourselves placed in a hallway. We didn’t get told there was an event and that we would be put basically right by the door with hardly any lighting.

On going to order an espresso martini We were also told there would be no cocktails as there was an event… something we should have been told before and we could only have wine or beer I said we should have been told ahead of time and she persuaded the bartender to make one.

It was so cold we stayed sat here in coats and a hat. We asked if there was somewhere warmer and the staff even agreed it was quite strange and not acceptable but he would get a manager, who met us with attitude and basically shouted did we want the table moved.

I said it was really too cold and not a nice experience and she said well it’s 13° outside, which of course shouldn’t impact us when we are inside…

It’s a shame as the food is great but it’s been a few times now with really poor service and bad attitude.

We also waited for ages for some of our orders and bread arrived when dip had been finished, yet they felt it appropriate to charge us… it doesn’t cost much to offer good service or just say sorry for the situation..

Ayer por la noche tuvimos una malísima experiencia con este restaurante, del que ya éramos clientes no solo yo sino toda mi familia y desde ayer dejaremos de ser. Reservamos con antelación y previo pago de casi 800€ (y ayer pagamos el resto, un total de 1500€) una reserva en el saloncito que tienen en el final del restaurante para 35 personas. Celebrábamos una reunión familiar en el que mi marido y yo nos habíamos casado esa mañana y hacíamos una presentación oficial de nuestro hijo recién nacido. Venía gente mayor y de Málaga. Y algo que tendría que haber sido una velada tranquila y bonita, fue una auténtica pesadilla. Se acordó que la cena duraría de 20 a 22h y que antes de las 23h nos iríamos, ya que en el evento familiar habían niños y gente muy mayor y, esa es la hora a la que abren las puertas de la discoteca que tiene el local y la cual estaba justo en el reservado que estábamos nosotros. Cuál fue la sorpresa? Que antes de las 21h empezó a sonar música electrónica a toda pastilla, y eso parecía una pasarela de gente desconocida que entraba y salía continuamente y pasaba por nuestro reservado estorbando todo el rato. Fue imposible cenar y tener una reunión familiar agradable. Evidentemente mi hijo lo despertaron y no hubo manera de dormirlo, llorando desconsoladamente. Sabemos que los camareros y la encargada no tiene culpa, haremos nuestra queja a las personas adecuadas, ya que ellos nos dieron la razón todo el rato con que se nos tendría que haber avisado que justo este fin de semana hay el festival del SONAR y la discoteca iba a empezar antes de lo acordado. En la cena no solo había mi bebé, también estaban mis sobrinos (6 para ser exactos) y se quejaban continuamente que los niños entraban en la discoteca. Señores haber avisado que eso iba a estar abierto. Intentábamos que no entraran pero tienen entre 2 y 10 años y las puertas todo el rato se abrían. La comida estaba muy buena y la verdad que los camareros fueron muy correctos y muy amables. Algo que se comentó todo el rato en la cena. Mi sorpresa fue cuando al despedirnos, la encargada nos pidió disculpas y nos dijo que se pondrían en contacto por este gran fallo, de repente empezaron a atacarme diciendo que mi pobre madre que tiene 71 años había pegada al camarero ( que por cierto, era el que toda la familia dijo que era el mejor y nos había hecho al cena más amena) mi cara era un poema y pedí disculpas porque algo que me parecería que era surrealista ya que mi madre es incapaz de hacer esto, salí corriendo a hablar con ella y ha decirle que había hecho. Acabó llorando y diciendo que eso no había sido así. La verdad que acusar de manera gratuita diciendo que ha habido una agresión es muy grave y por supuesto en este caso se tomaran medidas legales hacia el local y hacia esa persona, porque acusar de algo así cuando no ha sido verdad es muy grave. Solo puedo decir que gracias por amargarme el que tendría que haber sido uno de los días más...

Worst service I have ever experienced.We made a reservation for 8 and at the end we were 7 that was eating and the 8th person was paying the entrance fee. When we entered we clarified this with the stuff and everything was okay. When the bill came we said to divide the price by 6 since it was my birthday and my friends didn’t want me to pay. they made a huge deal out of this and tried to make another friend of mine to pay 20€ entrance which made no sense since we ordered everything as if we were 7. They ruined my birthday and treated us disrespectfully. When the manager came she was even worse and was saying stuff like “what are you not gonna pay” in a harsh tone which wasn’t our case at all. This is the worst service I have experienced I’ve been a frequent customer but I can promise that I will never come back again especially because we were disrespected and they were trying to humiliate us.
