EVA'S BARCELONA - Gelat artesanal & Cupcakes — Restaurant in Barcelona

Can you believe that there still are ice cream parlors I haven't tried in Barcelona❓ Yes, there are! 😁 And new ones open every day! Apparently I'm not the only ice cream 🍨 fan in the city... 😅 There's something I may like even more than ice cream: açaí. 😍 And there was a place on my bucket list that offers both ice cream and açaí. They even offer crepes 🥞 and waffles 🧇: hard choice! 🤔 On our way to the new kids playground in Glòries, I took my family to that new (to me!) spot called Eva's Barcelona, in Eixample. The decor is super cheezy, all pink, with a huge teddy bear 🧸 occupying one of the very few seats: really not my vibe, even though I appreciate having the opportunity to sit to eat my treat. I really didn't like the look of the creams so I asked about the açaí: not only was it super expensive, it was stored as a sorbet! That is not how açai works. So I thought I would order a crepe or a waffle. Again, super expensive. So I ordered... nothing. 😑 I still tried what my family ordered to share, the biggest (4-scoop) gelato cup: dulce de leche (good), passion fruit (so-so), leche merengada (basically milk and cinnamon, I didn't like it too much) and doughnut (that tasted exactly like industrial 🍩, quite well achieved but I found it terrible). The texture was good and the cream didn't melt too fast. Now the cream was so sweet that with the 4 little bites I had I was thirsty the whole afternoon. 😵‍💫 We paid €7.4 for the cup. Not too expensive for 4 scoops, but quite expensive in the end given the quantities. The smallest cup is crazy expensive though: €3.8. 👎 The clerk was nice but that's probably the only thing that I appreciated: I don't think I would like to visit that place again. 😔

This is the place to go for ice cream and sweet treats!

We came here three days in a row! The first night it was the only place we could find that was open late near our hotel. And not only was it delicious but the woman who works here is so sweet and friendly and they have delicious and refreshing strawberry and lemon, dairy free.

The second night we tried some different flavors and the churros. And the third time my son stuck with the same straciatello but also got a waffle. I had been wanting to try the Ferrero Rocher dark ice cream custom bar. I was really not hungry but knowing it was our last chance to come here for now I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did. Delicious dark chocolate ice cream...

Nice little ice cream and cake shop if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the La Sagrada Familia area for a while
