In the district os Les Corts, very near to the mall La Lilla Diagonal, there is a great coffee shop named HIDDEN CAFĂ. They are roasters themselves and have their beans sold in many smaller places in Barcelona as well, such as RUMAâs COFFEE, that we will be talking here too. Its great to see how they take care of their specialty coffee beans since the beggining of the process. The owners like to go to the farms in which the coffee is harvested to understand every little details, and assure their beans are adding value to all parts of the chain. In their coffee shop you can have many methods of filtered coffee, such as aeropress, V60 ou even the very clean CHEMEX. Eating is very recomendable as well. They have a lot of very well made sandwiches, natural fruit bowls and great deserts too. The espresso is always perfectly calibrated by the hands of the expertised baristas, and you can choose between having the coffee outside in the terraza, or inside, where they have shared or individual tables. Wi-fi works very well, so it is a great work to chill out a little bit, or prepare that meeting you need having a caffeine blast!

Read moreI ordered the V60 and made my payment. When I sat down, a lady approached me and said that the machine was not working, so I went for a cortado and iced coffee instead.

Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by their hospitality. She said she was concerned that I wouldn't have the chance to try the V60 as it was really good.
And she was not lying. I really enjoyed the coffee made from ethiopian beans. It was fruity with notes of green tea.
I tried 2 of their croissants as well; the nutella and the mascarpone. I must say they are not the best, although not bad either. For me, the croissants were slightly too thick and not...
Read moreSuch a disappointment. It used to be my favorite coffee shop where I always used to drink coffee and buy ceremonial matcha in jars to drink at home. And I was just passing by now to have matcha take away. the staff was super unfriendly, they never gave me a single smile, they didnât even try to be anything nice.
And matcha itself was a pure disappointment. A glass full of milk. With as little matcha in as possible for âŹ4,7. Itâs not my first time here and I know how vivid green the drink is normally. I asked a curly brunette staff whether there is any mistake. But she claimed they put 1,5 grams of matcha. Nothing else
So I am glad that at least I ordered take away, I donât have to stay and watch these gloomy...
