Cozy Restaurant with Delicious Tapas and an extensive and affordable wine list. We were strolling around looking for a local spot and came across Bodegueta it was packed. So we walked around the block and came back and now there were 2 seats open at the bar. We were welcomed like we were regulars. We had such a good time the we came back the next night. Prices are reasonable and the waitstaff are gems! Luckily for us our waiter was also a wine sommelier and made great recommendations. First night we had the calimari (13.5 Euros) and octopus (12.5 Euros) both excellent! We had a bottle of LaFou 2015 Syrah 22.90 Euros very good at a reasonable price. We were having such a good time we ordered another bottle Loidana 2016 (red wine 23 Euros) another great recommendation. The next night we ordered the potato salad and Russian Salad both very inexpensive yet both were excellent! FOOD: Made a meal of tapas there, which were all quite nice. The shrimp was the best shrimp we had in Spain/Portugal - very light touch, not overcooked, with a nice garlic sensibility. The padrone peppers were some of the best too - the coarse flake salt was a great addition.
Papas bravas were no-nonsense, deftly executed. Grilled scallops on greens with a hint of maple - genius! Tdenderloin bite with grilled goat cheese very tasty. The pastry that looks like a napoleon (sorry, forgot it's name) was delicious with very light pastry layers and almond cream

Looking for a nice place to eat in for Friday evening in the area of our hotel, and found this lovely place. Not a big restaurant, a medium sized bar with rich menu. From tapas, starters, main ones until desserts and aperitif or good cup of espresso. Very nice for families and couples (i sat by myself). Very efficient staff who recommend me for good food, and believe me - I was very hungry. The fish I ordered came quickly and was made by pros.
