WORST SERVICE EVER! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE. There are so many better places that are friendly and inviting. My family and I are travelling through Europe from Canada and have been going to local establishments to enjoy the food and culture of Barcelona. We were taken care of by the most horrible server I have ever experienced in my entire life. She clearly did not wish to serve us as all. Unfriendly to seat us, and disappeared for over 15 minutes once we sat down. When she appeared she helped both tables on either side of us, and would not even make eye contact with us. My son watched as she joked with other staff at the bar, so clearly the tone was she was unhappy with us personally. I waved at her and she looked upset with me. She disappeared once again and then she came back finally and said, “ok, now I will listen to you.” (Her English was fine when we spoke earlier before being seated). We had asked specifically for tap water when we sat down and she did not listen and she bought us an open bottle of warm water which we assumed was tap water (because it was warm and open). IT WAS NOT and we did not recognize this until the bill came and we were charged 2 times (because we asked for a refill). When we asked her about this she said “this is the way it is here”. This was clearly a lie and showed her hostility openly at this point. We have dined all over the world (and including places where there are language barriers) and never have I seen such a miserable person working and treating my family and myself like garbage. We have now dined at enough restaurants in Barcelona that I know she was just rude and does not represent the people here. I have attached a copy of our bill to show proof we were there, as I know sometimes people can question the authenticity of these posts. Again, save your money and support places that will appreciate...
Read moreOne of the most touristy trap places I've seen in Barcelona. After starting to live here locally, it's disheartening to see tourists being ripped off with such low-quality products. I happened to sit here by chance at a very hungry time; normally, I would never come to such touristy places. I ordered 'calamares a la andaluza' and vermouth from the menu. The waiter said they didn't have the usual variety of squid but could bring some small ones. I didn't change the order because I was in a hurry. The plate that arrived had nothing to do with squid. I could say I only ate squid batter; there weren't any proper squid in it! Moreover, the price they deducted on the bill was €15.15 while the price shown on the menu for the well-known big Andalusian-style squid was €13.20. When I asked for the reason, they said it was taxes, meaning those overrated prices on the menu were tax-excluded. My advice to tourists is, please read reviews before going; there are many great restaurants in Barcelona at very reasonable prices. At least you'll have eaten real seafood, not just...
Read moreWe came in and nobody really seated us, but whatever we aren’t picky. So we sat down after around three-ish minutes of awkward waiting (there was nobody else around), and we ordered. We ordered and the food was really expensive for what we eventually got after around forty minutes of waiting. The food itself was really good, however the service was just a little bit off. No hate I swear, I know people have weird days sometimes. We ordered the pancakes, veil, and tuna tartar btw. The tartar was really small so it didn’t really fill me up. And my kids were still a bit hungry. In total it costed about 55 euros. I would recommend this place, however, don’t order the tartar as it’s not that much food if you’re feeling...
