Restaurante La Dentellière — Restaurant in Barcelona

CAUTION

I decided to visit this restaurant after reading the positive reviews on Google and reading through the menu posted on their website. However, by the end of our night the owner/manager was arguing with several members of our group and being downright disrespectful.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the actual menu handed to customers was different from what was listed online. Then, the owner of the restaurant was visibly annoyed when our group didn't know what to order and then only let us order food first. After ordering our food and waiting several minutes, we were finally asked to order drinks.

The food itself was ok but nothing to write home about. I personally had the paella but didn't agree with any of the hype in other reviews.

The worst part of our dinner came when the owner became frustrated when splitting our check and yelled that we should be calculating our own totals. She stormed off and left the waitress to deal with it, but the waitress hardly know how to use the payment machine. We finally got all the payments to go through, but not without arguing with the owner badgering us about the problems her staff were having. The waitress serving us was also visibly shaking and scared whenever the owner approached her.

TLDR: The food is ok, nothing more. The owner has terrible attitude and provided the most terrible customer service I've ever received. It truly was unimaginably atrocious. Please do yourself a favor and avoid...

WATCH OUT!! This place has a lot of undeserved (paid for?) 5 star ratings. I don't like writing bad reviews, but the way we were treated here was beyond any experience I've had in my life. We got told by the owner to order more food because this was "not a bar but a restaurant" eventhough we didn't want any. On top of that their payment machine wasn't working, but blamed it on us and raised her voice and was clearly angry! Very unnecessary hostile treatment throughout the whole night

Food was OK, but absolutely not on par with what all these reviews say. Go to a nicer, more traditional and intimate tapas place which there are loads of in Barcelona. Avoid this place...
