Avoid! Worst restaurant I've ever been to for customer service.
We booked to celebrate a double birthday (one of which was my own) well in advance for a group of 11 people. When we arrived, the first 4 of us placed a drinks order, which came out wrong. Only 3 drinks arrived - one of which was incorrect. I then had to chase another server up to request that my drink was brought out when they were able to do so.
When the rest of the guests arrived, several drinks were also forgotten, with some not being brought out after around 15/20 minutes later (after prompting staff numerous times). Also, some drinks weren't brought out until after the food was served. Regarding the food, one dish was completely incorrect, another food order never arrived, and a brunch order came out with items missing - to which we were told “sorry we didn’t have any scrambled egg”
The staff didn’t seem to care much every time we quite rightly pointed out (nicely) that something was incorrect or we'd been chasing for a food or drink item for a while.
Shortly after, what looked like a 10-person staff meeting began near the front of the restaurant, so we thought we’d be in luck from this point on. However, when prompted for the birthday cake to be brought out, a waitress who had already been quite rude came up the steps to the table, stopped and asked “does anyone have a lighter?” This happened right in front of myself and the other person whose birthday it was whilst she was still holding the cake with the candles unlit (and as everybody had started to sing Happy Birthday). She didn't seem to care at all and just left the cake on the table and walked off - no one brought any plates or forks or even a knife to cut the cake.
We then had to wave down again as no one was looking to take any further drinks orders. As well as this, not a single glass or plate was collected until we waved down to the staff meeting and someone very rudely came up asking what we wanted. All of the used/dirty items on the table were still there from when the first orders had arrived. Even then, they took some things away and just left most of the table full with dirty plates and glasses. One of our table even took a pile of dirty plates down to the bar for them as at this point we’d had enough, and ordered the bill.
When we received the bill we questioned the service and explained how bad it had been, to which the waitress agreed about the bithday cake situation (carried out by her colleague), but just pointed out that there were lots of orders and people were shouting out different food items at the same time (which never happened, we went around one by one). The other birthday guest questioned the service and asked the waitress whether they could do anything to improve the experience, and she said she would ask (after we had to ask her a second time), but then we never heard anything back, so they obviously just didn't care that we'd had to endure this awful experience.
When we left shortly after, the staff rudely giggled as we walked out and shouted “bye!” at us. I was in shock and could not believe what was happening to us at a venue that we'd booked well in advance to celebrate a milestone birthday. The day had been completely ruined by their terrible customer service experience.
I advise anyone to avoid this place and go literally...

We stumbled upon SEA YOU House on March 9th, 2025, while searching for another spot for breakfast, and what a delightful surprise it was! Conveniently located near our hotel, this cafe instantly charmed us with its relaxed surfer beach vibes and abundance of greenery. Walking in, you're greeted with surf boards and a lush, plant-filled atmosphere – a definite plus for any plant enthusiast, though some of the foliage could use a little TLC. The menu was impressive, offering a variety of options at reasonable prices for all diatery requirements. My breakfast was a standout: perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with bacon, mushrooms, and spinach. Every element was cooked to perfection and looked good on the plate. I paired it with my usual morning green tea and a cucumber and ginger juice. While the juice was refreshing, the ginger was a bit overpowering for my taste. My partner thoroughly enjoyed their avocado on toast and fresh orange juice, both fresh and delicious. The background music was a great touch, perfectly aligning with the restaurants/ bar laid-back atmosphere. However, the service was a bit inconsistent. We had to retrieve our own cutlery after our food was delivered, and requesting the bill required two attempts. In short, Sea You House has incredible potential. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is fantastic. If the service could match the quality of the food and atmosphere, this would undoubtedly be the best cafe in the area. We highly recommend giving Sea You House a try – especially if you're looking for a relaxed, breakfast spot with delicious food and a cool soundtrack. Just be prepared to maybe ask twice for things and appreciate the plants...
Read moreNothing like the pictures! We were a large group that arrived for brunch at 1 PM on a Sunday. Although they advertise brunch from 10 AM to 4 PM, they had already run out of pancakes and orange juice (only two of us received it). We ordered Eggs Benedict, which were served extremely cold. When my friend brought this to the waitress's attention, we were treated poorly—he didn't believe the eggs were cold, insisting that's how they always serve them. Another staff member assured us they would fix the issue, but we ended up returning 6 out of the 8 plates we ordered. They merely microwaved the dishes, but they still came back cold, and no other solutions or compensation were offered. The açaí was also disappointing; it was so cold we couldn’t even finish it because it hurt our teeth. I wouldn't recommend this...
