As part of a tour group, we had the pleasure of dining at Shanti Indian Restaurant in Barcelona, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The food was the highlight, with every dish exceeding expectations. We savored the Chole, Dal Makhani, and Chicken Biryani, each prepared to perfection and bursting with authentic flavors. It's rare to find such consistently delicious Indian cuisine abroad. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was truly exceptional. The team at Shanti provided incredibly warm and attentive hospitality, making us feel genuinely welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. To top it all off, the fruit custard dessert was a nostalgic treat – it tasted exactly like homemade, a perfect sweet ending to a memorable dinner. Shanti Indian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Barcelona craving authentic, delicious Indian food served with outstanding hospitality. Highly...
Read moreWe asked for a bottle of house red, the waitress proceeded to bring two glasses. I explained that that is not what we wanted, but said it was ok, just give us four glasses and charge for a bottle. When the bill came we were charged for four glasses at 30zl each. 120zl approx 25 euro. Which for a bottle of HOUSE wine in Gdańsk is extortion. Even if it was a genuine mistake charging 30zl for a glass of house wine is also extortion. I think this may be part of pattern of overcharging (scamming) tourists. The head waiter, possibly owner was also quite pushy when it was time to order and questioned all of our choices. Why is it on the menu of you think we shouldn’t order it? In the end the food was good but we were left with a sour taste in our mouths because of the money charged. We did not realize this until after the bill was paid, otherwise we would have said it...

I have visited this restaurant three years ago , and now - i feel the same authentic food and flavour !
Highly recommended incase you are looking for authentic food, Ofcourse prices are bit on higher side .
I ordered thali and it was best for one person and all the curries and dessert were good.
I also ordered masala chai , it had come in double the size you would expect , but ofcourse on a rainy day and good chai is always a combination to enjoy .
They charge additional for water , ideally in other restaurants, when thali is ordered a drink is complimentary. However a small thing !
They have delicious post dinner souph , which you get with the bill , don’t forget to enjoy it .
It’s a goto place when in Barcelona and looking for...
