Strongly suggest avoiding this place!
It's in my barrio, so I decided to give it a try today.
I ordered from the menu del día: ensalada de tomate con ventresca, and carpaccio de ternera. Simple dishes.
The tomato salad was a bit slow to arrive, but decent. Not more than decent, though.
The wait for the carpaccio was unbelievably long. As in, the table next to me came, ordered, ate, paid and left. Eventually I mentioned to my waiter that I was missing a dish, in case they'd forgotten somehow, and was told it was coming momentarily. I think I waited approximately an hour between dishes.
10 minutes later, still no carpaccio, the hangry kicked in and I expressed my frustration to another waiter, who blamed the kitchen being busy, and said it would be there any minute. I've worked in kitchens, and even though there was only one person working, there weren't enough customers for food to come out so slowly.
The first waiter came out with an appeasement glass of wine, and, finally, another 10min later, my carpaccio.
Which was tiny, and frozen in the center.
Frozen was a trend, it seemed. A customer at another nearby table returned her salmon tartare because it was frozen, and she and her dining companion eventually left instead of waiting for its replacement.
Mediocre food, terrible service.
Didn't offer any bread or anything to tide over my appetite, only feeble apologies.
When I asked for a coffee instead of dessert, I was told they don't have a coffee machine. In a restaurant in Spain, serving lunch. Unbelievable.
FWIW, I almost never leave reviews - even when a place is amazing - but the service in this place was so bad that I feel obliged to warn people...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Superclàssic, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This establishment stands out not just as a place to grab a drink, but as a cornerstone of warmth, skill, and culinary delight.
First and foremost, the craftsmanship of the bartender deserves the highest praise. Every cocktail I ordered was a masterpiece—balanced, flavorful, and presented with an artistic flair. It's evident that they take pride in their craft, and their expertise elevates the entire experience.
The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring that our table was well cared for and our needs were met with genuine smiles. The friendly and approachable nature of the team created an atmosphere that felt welcoming and inclusive.
A special mention must go to the owner, whose presence added a personal touch to the evening. Their passion for the business is palpable, and it reflects in every detail, from the décor to the menu. Taking the time to chat with guests, they made us feel not just like customers but like valued members of their community.
The location is another highlight—convenient and easy to find, yet it manages to feel like a cozy retreat from the bustle of the city. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing evening or a lively gathering with friends.
If you’re looking for a pub that combines exceptional drinks, mouthwatering food, and unparalleled hospitality, look no further than Superclàssic. It’s a place I’ll be returning to often, and one I’d wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an...
Read moreSuper Classic presents itself with an intriguing concept, but the execution falls short of its promise. While the initial welcome was warm, our dining experience was marred by several shortcomings. Our table's unfortunate proximity to the restroom resulted in constant auditory intrusions, a significant distraction in an otherwise intimate setting. Service was a mixed bag, with some staff members displaying genuine friendliness while others exuded an air of indifference bordering on gruffness. The speed of service, while initially appreciated, raised concerns. Some dishes, notably the sausage in cider, arrived alarmingly quickly, suggesting a lack of proper preparation and resulting in lukewarm temperatures. The arrival of other diners dramatically worsened the acoustic environment. The restaurant's design, unfortunately, amplifies noise, making conversation difficult and frustrating. Ultimately, we left feeling underwhelmed. Super Classic seems better suited as a casual bar for a quick drink and a tapa than a destination for a leisurely and enjoyable sit-down meal. Recommendations: Address the acoustic issues: Implement sound-absorbing materials or consider a redesign to minimize noise reverberation. Ensure consistent service quality: Train staff to maintain a consistently friendly and attentive demeanor. Prioritize food quality over speed: Allow sufficient time for dishes to be properly prepared and served at optimal temperatures.
