This is a LITERAL hole in the wall - you will miss it if you weren’t specifically looking for it!
You don’t need a reservation but I reckon it’s worth a try especially if you have a large group. My group was 7 including 2 kids one of which was a toddler.
This shop is tiny and L-shaped. We were the first to arrive (the shop was empty!) and we asked to be seated close to the wall at the end of the shop so we could contain our toddler and the first waitress wouldn’t do that… 1.) Maybe cos she was tired or 2.) she had the spot reserved or 3.) she was trying to keep guests as close to the entrance as possible.
Now this is me thinking of all the possible scenarios why she wouldn’t honor that request, we spent about 5minutes going back and forth on why that wall was the best option without getting no where!
Luckily another waitress jumped in and seated us by the wall and took charge of our service. She was attentive, Gentle with the kids and made us feel welcomed. She also made recommendations on dishes and explained the flavors, some items we wanted were unavailable and she let us know they had a supply issue cos of the holidays- I respect that.
The food was worth the hassle, it was delicious and had so much flavor, they literally had the best curry in town- food was so good we spent too much money on this day! That neon sign was not a bluff 😂
Overall great place, would definitely revisit this spot if I ever come back...
Read moreThis restaurant in Barcelona provided me a just decent lunch experience, so there were several areas that can improve.
One aspect that left me with mixed feelings was the pricing. I ordered a green curry with vegetables, prawns, and squid, and while the flavors were enjoyable, there was a certain lack of depth that I had hoped for in an authentic Thai dish. The taste seemed somewhat standardized and lacked the complexity that often characterizes freshly prepared Thai cuisine. One notable aspect that caught my attention was that the preparation of some dishes appeared to rely heavily on preprocessed ingredients, especially evident in the curry dishes, as can be observed in the photo I took.
The service, however, was a mixed bag. The friendly demeanor of the manager was certainly a highlight; she greeted us with a warm smile and attended me graciously. On the other hand, the waiter's attitude was less than satisfactory, ignoring me most of the time, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience.
The use of processed ingredients in dishes and the pricing relative to the culinary experience left something...
Read moreIf you’re looking for some authentic and amazing Thai experience, then this is your place. Came here with a group of 6 people and the food was amazing! The only hiccup was getting seated. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids including an infant: we asked to be seated in a corner instead of the middle of the room because we had an infant and needed a place to contain his movements as he’s a very active child. The hostess stated she couldn’t sit us in the corner even though the place was pretty empty. A second hostess came and said we could be seated in the corner. So for what seemed like 3 minutes, both hostesses were arguing with each other on where to sit us which was a bit awkward. We were eventually seated in the corner.
The food like I said was amazing. We all enjoyed our individual meals. The customer service itself was just a tad bit wonky which is why I removed 2 stars. Paying for our meals also took another 10 minutes to figure out.
Will advise management to work on the above feedback. Outside of that, place is clean and food is amazing! Will definitely be back for sure when next I’m...
