Rico's Bar — Restaurant in Benidorm

Okay, let's get the complaints out of the way first:

The toilet is unisex, with only two cubicles and pretty claustrophobic/small. I also think the sink could have a bit more water pressure, but it got the job done regardless.

The entire restaurant is very small, other than the seating which is outside anyways.

Okay, now into the good stuff!

The food was AMAZING! Like putting heaven into your mouth. I've never had a better pizza in my life! (I ordered a medium English pizza & french fries, which were decent but they're just chips, so you can't really go too bad or too good with them, the pizza is where the magic is!)

The toilets, albeit small, are delightful! The sink and basin were clean, they had a nice modern air dryer (the kind you slide your hands into). They were VERY clean and modern, with a nice homely design. It felt very open and welcoming, and did the claustrophobic size of the bathroom lots of justice!

There's also a well maintained bin on your way to the toilet for tissues etc.

The workers were very understanding and kind, they seemingly were also on board with the common British vocabulary and culture.

My eyes were in torturous AGONY from the sea, brightness and sand, they were completely bloodshot and I was really struggling with the pain. The young waiter instantly approached me with an empathetic smile on his face, and showed me the surprisingly clean bathroom, where I happily washed my eyes and face.

The food also came very quickly and was nice and hot. The pizza was perfectly cooked as well.

They have all sorts of full & clean Heinz sauce flavours and the salt was slightly thick sea salt (perfect for pizza), I do think the salt could be easier to come out the tube though!

The tables were clean, the design of the drinking glasses, cutlery, menu, chairs, umbrellas and bar are all top tier, clean, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. They clearly put lots of thought into this place.

They also had custom napkins, cutlery holders and cup coasters, and the menu had a nice wooden base/binding.

This place blew me away, it feels very premium and the complaints I have are futile in comparison to the restaurant's brilliant strengths!

Incredible service! Just as we were served our food it started raining so much and then came lightning and thunder and wind. The beach was emptied instantly as people came running to the shops for cover. We sat at the table closest to the beach and the wind threw the water from the umbrellas in and mostly on my sister. Our waiter came over and helped, first he stood behind my sister to cover her from the rain and then he moved us over to table after table because water kept splashing down on them before we could sit down and then we found a good place to sit, he helped ut take the food over and provided us the best service I have recieved💗 The food also tastes a lot better than it looks on the menu, I recommend the churros...

Service shocking. Asked for tuna baguette & glass of wine. My wife ham & tomato & glass of mine. Mine served first. I was half way through mine when my wife still not served her ham dish. Left my table & told girl at bar who completely blanked me. Then went to manager & he said 5 mins. I said why not served same time as mine, he said you want to cancel? I said no, why the hold up? Again he said you cancel. He was being smart & could not care less about my wife not being served. This guy was being what he thought clever in front of his staff. A disgrace...
