Delightful surprise: the boba here is EXCELLENT. (and this from a person who has lived in Taiwan where boba originated, and Southern California where boba is taken very seriously) In addition to the proper tapioca boba pearls, they also offer a colorful selection of other flavored "boba" pearls. I haven't tried those, but judging from how the guy behind the counter was able to talk about them, and their appearance & consistency, BubbleTai knows and offers the whole range of boba.

Mild disappointment: the smoothies here are actually milk teas and juice blends. Good ones, to be sure. I was especially pleased with the taro. But you will not find a proper "smoothie" here, if that's what you want. Also, they do not offer flavored jellies or salted cream —no great loss in my opinion, but those things are standard at full-fledged boba places.
