Awesome food, great service, and nice location.
The garlic shrimp was the best we have had in Spain. So good that we came back the next day! The shrimps were fresh. The garlic and chili flavors were well incorporated in the oil. Everything in this dish was perfect!
We also had fried cod, grilled iberian pork, baby squid and croquettes, which were all amazing with the exception of croquettes. While croquettes are comparably mediocre, everything else we had was top notch in our three-week trip across Spain (though they were still on the salty side which we found common in Spanish cuisine)
We particularly love the location and atmosphere here. It’s in a small alley just a few mins off the busy plaza (Plaza de las Tendillas) but is really quiet, which provides some peace during the meal.
Overall it’s 5 star all around for us. We were pleasantly surprised to have found such place in a small city like Cordoba, and we will definitely come back...
Read moreWas searching very long on Google maps to find a authentic Spanish restaurant. Difficult to pinpoint a place to eat as it mostly looks like a tourist trap. Honestly this restaurant looks like a trap too but decided to give it a shot as it seemed less tourist trap than the others. I can safely say this place IS NOT a trap, the food is honestly the best I've had in the past two weeks in Spain.
We had the fried aubergine, prawns, squid in ink, croquettes and it was all amazing and served quickly. The squids are especially a stand out here. Prices and portions are very fair too.
This place serves amazing local Spanish food and the service is fast too. One small issue is that when we first arrived at 1pm, the place was closed and the chairs were still stacked up. We waited for 10mins and saw a staff walk into the shop so we asked him and he said they will open in 15 mins. So if you see the place still closed at 1pm, just wait a...
Read moreEvery dish made my tastebuds sing with joy! Tapas with an unassuming locale- a few seats inside, a walk up bar outside, as well as outdoor seating. It's on such a beautiful street in the center of town and away from the tourist trap restaurants near the Mosque-Cathedral. We ordered quite a few items late in the evening and each was delivered in picturesque style, without compromising taste. Every. Single. Dish. Was. Exceptional. We ended the meal with Chipirones a la plancha con crema de su tinta- so perfect and delicate. I will also add that this is a family owned shop. The server was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable on every dish and answered our questions patiently. The husband and wife chef duo have outdone themselves with their menu lineup as each item seemed better than the last. If the Sistine chapel were food, this place...
