Bagels & Beers — Restaurant in Girona

We happened upon this place while walking around Girona and decided to try it as finding good bagels is impossible where we live Spain. I tried the sesame with jalapeño cream cheese and avocado - it was very good and I was thrilled to find jalapeños. The bagel was crisp and firm on the outside and had good texture inside - not too dense and not too fluffy. I come from Seattle, so I was excited to check out the beer list. They have an awesome menu featuring local craft and great beers from all around the world. Both people working were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time in Girona cycling but the highlight of the food and evening entertainment had to be Bagels and Beers. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. The beers were without a shadow of a doubt THE BEST in town with beers from local brewery Soma to Northern Monk my favourite brewery. If you go to Girona and don't go to Bagels and Beer you are missing out. There is a universal test when it comes to the quality of food in luxury hotels, order the BLT. If the hotel can conjure a good BLT, then everything else that follows will be good. I applied the same test to Bagels and Beers and their BLT passed with flying colours. Delicious and excelent value.
