LaFerla — Restaurant in Girona

Very good start. Owner/waiter took his time to explain the menu and dishes. First two dishes arrived quickly. Quality of the food was ok but not sure why the restaurant has such a high rating. The pulled pork sandwich had no visible pulled pork and also did not taste like it. The gnocchi were too salty. Food looked posh but was not above average. Then it took an hour until the desert arrived. Drinks were empty and no one bothered to ask if we wanted more. Coffee got forgotten.

In general a nice restaurant but they need to find better staff. Food is ok but not 4.9 stars (rating of the restaurant at this point in time).

We paid 72€ for two menus...

Para ser sincera iba con mucho miedo porque era la primera vez que acudía a un restaurante de este estilo (es decir con combinaciones curiosas), me costó mucho rato decidir que comer y fui con un primero sencillo, y un segundo seguro, dispuesta a probar lo que mis acompañantes eligieran. ¿Mi sorpresa? ME HA ENCANTADO.

De primero; Pan Brioche con patata y setas, excelente, notaba el pan y las setas bien combinados y me gustaba mucho la sensación, la patata no la noté tanto pero sinceramente, no la eché de menos. De segundo: Parppadelle Funghi porcini, exquisitos, una ración justa para no quedar empachado pero tampoco quedar con hambre, y un sabor excelente. El punto de la pasta, el ideal. De postre; Profiteroles con chocolate negro y chocolate con leche, para mi gusto un poco duros, aún así estaban sabrosos.

Pero por suerte en la mesa éramos muchos comensales y escogimos variedad como por ejemplo; Primeros: huevo poché con parmentiere de romero y cebolla, burrata con coulis de pimiento rojo, olivada y crema de anchoas, pastelillo de butifarra con manzana, zamburiñas, platillo de alcachofas... Mi favorito de aquí, el pastelillo de butifarra, la combinación de dulce y salado es asombrosa. Segundos: Trofie special (este plato lleva suplemento), risotto de Ceps y trufa negra y risotto de chipirones y cacao. Siendo este último mi FAVORITO en mayúsculas (y siendo sincera el plato que más miedo me daba). Postres: Naranja la Ferla, Tiramisú de avellana y pannacotta. Mi favorito aquí ha sido el tiramisú, que con la avellana tiene un toque excelente.

El local es encantador, es muy pequeño, por lo que recomiendo reservar. Tiene intimidad y es acogedor, aunque es el personal quien se encarga de que te sientas como en casa. Gracias por tratarnos de forma tan excelente.

El resumen es que tenía pánico y ahora mismo mi sensación es la de que quiero volver algún día y experimentar más sensaciones, enhorabuena por...

Menu of the day was really good. Certainly a place to go to. Good staff, speaks little English. Reservations are really recommended, place was full within minutes.

EDIT: This little gem popped up in my feed again, and I can't stress enough that this is really one of those hidden restaurants that serves Michelin-class food. Yes, it might be small, and yes, you will pass by it without knowing, but i went there because of the reviews left behind by other customers, and I have to say I was not disappointed at all. I put it in my favourites, and if someone believes I am not telling the truth, at least look at the pictures and tell...
