Ate here following disappointing tour, sherry tasting and tapas at Tio Pepe. La Nueva Riva offers 5 Sherries - Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, Cream and Pedro Jiminez for 6 Euro's currently which is amazing value compared to TP. Try the Tostas (different fish and cheese on toasted french style bread), deep fried anchovies and chicken croquettes. Vegan and veggie options are also available with the menu in English as well as Spanish. The young man serving us was very keen on practising his more than adequate English and helpful and efficient - explained the Pedro Jiminez was a very sweet Sherry and his favourite when we asked as TP didn't offer it at the tasting. Pleasantly situated restaurant not far from the Cathedral and Alcazar in a small 'plaza' with smart, contemporary tables, parasols and tablewear. Definitely worth a visit if you are doing the Jerez...

Thank you for welcoming a small posse of Norwegians on a...
