ANTUANET Restaurante — Restaurant in Madrid

We had dinner at ANTUANET, a Lebanese spot in central Madrid. The place was nice, though the atmosphere could use a bit more energy. Service was friendly, but the staff wasn’t very helpful when it came to recommending or explaining the dishes and portion sizes. They said we were ordering too little, but when the food arrived, it was actually more than enough — and we’re two people who eat well. Glad we didn’t follow their suggestion.

We tried a mix of cold creams (hummus, mutabal, labne, muhamarra), all flavorful, and the lamb meatballs with cherry sauce were excellent. We also had the iabrak, which instantly took me back to my grandmother’s cooking. It tasted just like her recipe, a truly faithful version. I’d definitely come back to explore more of the menu. It would be great if the ordering experience was clearer, to avoid over-ordering. Thanks...

When you first enter, you are greeted by a friendly face and a nice waiting area that is also a bar. You can also watch part of the kitchen prepare food. A nice touch. A few steps up take you to the restaurant area. Soft upbeat music plays in the background while you dine. The perfect volume.

We really enjoyed our meal and it was well prepared, well seasoned, and came artfully delivered to our table.

Incredible. Hands down the best Lebanese food we have ever had. Traditional and so fresh. Coming from NYC we have eaten our share of Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine, but Antuanet delighted and surprised us with the flavors textures of their cuisine. Order the pesto hummus, baba ghanouj, fatuoush salad, any of the hot dishes. You will be very very very happy. This restaurant is cozy, the staff is unbelievably sweet, it’s a calm beautifully appointed place in the middle of busy Chueca. We felt so comfortable here. When we come back to Madrid we are definitely coming back...
