The experience was going pretty well when me and my friend were talking and ordering food in Spanish (to not get scammed), after the server left and we were alone we talked in our language and when other worker returned she started speaking English to me and I had a feeling we were going to be scammed. When we went to pay the bill was 14.40€ and me and my friend asked to split the bill in half which was 7.20€ and then she put 11.90€ on her terminal and I noticed it and told friend about it but it sadly took her money. Then the server did same with me and I started confronting why the hell me and my friend pay each 11.90€ when the bill was 14.40€, so she returned the money back to friend but it wasnt ENOUGH because she was short by 40 cents so by my very annoyed tone, I demanded she gets ALL her money back. After it was my time to pay, I noticed, I as well got overcharged, it wasn't by much but it still wasn't the half. At this point I was so irritated, I confronted the staff and literally told her many times that the half of 14.40 is 7.20 not 7.50€. After that we paid the amount we had to and finally left. I don't know, if the waitress was really stupid and didn't know how to divide by 2 or she acted stupid to earn extra money from "stupid tourists". The Toast was pretty good, just I'd avoid it as a tourist if you don't wanna pay extra euros for the math lessons that waitress...

Went here with my girlfriend on our way to the airport and out of Madrid based on great reviews. It is OK at best. The space is cramped and decor underwhelming. There was no WiFi either. The hostess was also the waitress/server so service took forever. Both my girlfriend and I love dogs but were not in the mood to have the hostess’ dog jumping all over our seats especially when we encountered it peeing by the door on our way in. The food is definitely not special in any way, and quite overpriced for what you get. It is not bad...just not what I was expecting with the high ratings on Google. I wouldn’t go back or recommend (but my review is based purely on the lack of value...not the quality of the service or errant pooch). The reality is for 34 Euro for 2 people for breakfast, Madrid has a LOT better to offer - period. You can also get the same food they offer for less than half what they charge in a much friendlier setting if that’s your thing :) I have read their response and I stand by my review. Nothing about the food is special and like most people who were disappointed, the only draw was the great reviews which did not hold...

Restaurant is OK, but for sure not a 5 star place, a bit over-priced to be honest. Be ready to feel like it's a favor letting you eat there, though. The place is cozy and the ambience is what would be expected of a trendy place with awesome decoration. The manager (probably owner) runs a tight ship and it's noticeable. Service was mostly good, although in the end the guy overtook the paying option for us (we don't live there so wanted to pay in out currency, but they decide to illegally do that for you), so no tip for them. We were cramped in a small table, but that's because we didn't have a reservation; although other tables were free, but reservations were coming at least a half hour after we would be done with our breakfast. Portions were good, flavor was OK (nothing to write home about), bread is good, and one of the waiters is super friendly. Won't be visiting again when going back to Madrid, there's much better places with a...

I have to give 5 stars for the place first for the hospitality of the staff (they all speak english and super attentive with their customers), secondly for the food itself! They offer full and mini brunches, obviously it isn’t the cheapest brunch place you will find in Madrid but the food quality, the freshness of the vegetables and the freshly squeezed orange juice will make the price worth it. Lastly, the coffee - as a black coffee lover it was indeed a good boost for my day with a delicious aromatic finish of the entire brunch experience. Highly recommended, but do expect lines outside, the place is not big and for some reason there is no such thing as ‘first come and first serve’ here. Love Madrid!

I loved this brunch cafe, from the delicious food to the mood boosting 70s music to the kind service (my waitresses were patient with my Spanish). My partner and I came in around 130pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait. We ordered 2 mini brunches, which comes with freshly squeezed orange juice or a mimosa, coffee or tea, and a main - we got the BLT wrap and yogurt fruit bowl w/breads and spreads. Everything tasted incredible, but my favorite was the perfectly toasted bread with fresh tomato jam. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his wrap. If you're looking for some healthy, yummy brunch food, must give this place a try!
