Faborit Plaza de España (Princesa) — Restaurant in Madrid

Faborit is a pretty big chain of coffee, salad & sandwich shops in Spain, mainly located in Madrid (17) and Barcelona (10). They cater to the breakfast and lunch occasions.

The location in Plaza de España is wide, modern and well lit, a beautiful space where the light comes in to envelop your food moment.

For some reason, I had to pay the coffee in one transaction and the food in another transaction? The poor girl taking orders did not know how to operate her machine. Not a big deal, but she needs a manager and training. Fast.

Coffee was OK, not memorable. There are better coffee shops like Mission close by if you want something more 3rd wave coffee. This one was convenient for us, nothing more, nothing less.

The pan con tomate was underwhelming. Mainly because the poor tomato was destroyed in a blender, lacks the texture of hand made. Average tasting tomato. We had better elsewhere during our trip.

However, the oil and vinegar self-service counter is a nice touch.

Average experience. Nothing more, nothing less.

My recent breakfast outing at this coffee establishment left much to be desired. The toast with tomato failed to impress, lacking the depth of flavor I had hoped for. The ordering system appeared overwhelmed, with only three staff members attempting to manage a bustling crowd, resulting in delays and frustration.

Despite the chaos, the staff remained polite and courteous, a saving grace amidst the noise of traffic outside and the blaring music within. However, the prices seemed inflated, seemingly driven more by the prime location than the quality of the offerings.

Acudo regularmente a coger desayuno para llevar. Algunas personas del trabajo también lo hacen. El local está siempre muy limpio, lleno y los empleados y empleadas hacen un gran trabajo. Algunos productos tienen precios desorbitados y los que tienen precios más razonables también tienen alguna pega. Si llevas tu propio vaso de café te hacen un descuento y hace que salga bastante bien de precio el menú de desayuno.

El café es bueno y la mayoría de los empleados lo preparan muy bien. He probado algunos cruasanes y napolitanas para llevar. La napolitana de chocolate no está mal, aunque algunos días la masa está mas crujiente y otros días no están tan bien. Solo un día de todos los que he ido estaba MUY justa de cocción en el interior. Masa algo cruda y pegajosa.

Los cruasanes integrales de pavo, tomate y espinaca están ricos. El de jamón y queso lo calientan poco tiempo pero si pides te lo dejan un poquito más. En mi opinión merece la pena dejarlo un poco más y está sabroso. Cruasanes bastamte dignos para el volumen que preparan y venden.

Creo que esas son las mejores opciones para hacer menu desayuno para llevar y el precio es razonable para la calidad. Para sentarse mucha gente toma tostadas y tienen también buena pinta.

Muchos otros productos me parece que están MUY caros. Son frescos pero no parecen particularmente apetitosos y son raciones pequeñas. Me ocurre lo mismo para comer. Nunca he comido aquí porque me parece que hay lugares que ofrecen ensaladas y bowls más interesantes para comer. También me parece que hay restaurantes por la zona de otros estilos que tienen precios muy competitivos y muy buena comida.

Lo mejor es la gente que trabaja ahí, eficaces y amables, buenas vibras para empezar el día, el desayuno está bien también. Puntos flojos son el sistema ineficiente de colas que despista a los novatos. Precios elevados en...
