Amid the designer boutiques and tree-lined streets sits a coffee shop that, judging by the crowd spilling out the door, has achieved near-legendary status. Naturally, I had to see what all the fuss was about.

Let me set the scene: people waiting in a line so long you’d think they were giving away gold bars instead of pancakes and avocado toast. A kind of reverent buzz filled the air, the kind of anticipation usually reserved for sold-out concerts or new iPhone launches. Once I finally made it inside, it hit me—this place was worth the wait.

Generous portions are their calling card, and they don’t just deliver; they overdeliver. My pancakes came out drenched in Nutella, a decadent, unapologetic embrace of everything indulgent and wonderful about breakfast. These weren’t just pancakes; they were edible therapy, a sugar-laden hug for your soul.

The avocado toast was its counterpart, balancing richness with a fresh, vibrant simplicity. Creamy avocado piled high on crusty bread so satisfying you’d almost forget you were eating something green. It’s the kind of dish that could win over even the staunchest skeptic of food trends. Together, they formed a duet of flavors that felt like the culinary equivalent of your favorite song on repeat.

Yes, there was a wait. Yes, the place was crowded. But there’s something magical about sharing that experience with strangers equally eager for their next fix of culinary joy. 🕙 Fui 21/03/23 martes sobre las 11:00. El local estaba concurrido. El piso de arriba completo pero aún había mesas en el de abajo.

🧾En mi caso pedí café latte grande, un yogur de granola y unos turkish eggs.

☕El café con leche muy rico. En el top 10 de Madrid aunque quizás por debajo de Clima, Bo Specialty, Hola... Es un café algo más amargo y con más cuerpo que se puede tomar perfectamente sin azúcar. La taza venía con un encaje debajo.

🥛🍓🍌🌰🥜Yogur de Granola Con mermelada de chía, fruta fresca, granola casera eco y sirope de ágave. De lo mejor que he probado en cuánto a yogur de granola casera (al nivel de Run Run Coffe). El yogur meloso y dulce, con gran cantidad de fruta (arándano, frambuesa, fresa, plátano...) y de frutos secos (avellana, nuez...)

🍳Turkish Eggs Labneh casero, dos huevos poché eco, halloumi, pepino, salsa spicy y tostada. El plato con una presentación vistosa y bien elaborado. Igualmente un precio considerablemente alto incluso para el plato. Buen producto y sabroso pero no repetiría.

👩‍🍳 El servicio fue amable en todo momento. Te puedes sentar en una mesa en el sitio y te atienden al llegar. Te traen la carta (está disponible en fotos o en su página web https://religioncoffee.es/es/ ). Trajeron rápido la comanda primero el café con la granola y después los "turkish eggs". Los cubiertos vienen en una servilleta y me trajeron una jarra de agua con un vaso (se agradece no tener que ir pidiendo vaso por vaso)

🌁 El local es un local con decoración minimalista y bonita. Un exterior blanco con grandes ventanales y la marca expuesta sin muchas florituras. Tiene una pequeña terraza a la que le da algo de sol al final de la mañana / mediodía con unas mesitas de madera.

Según entras está el piso superior dónde hay un listado de precios y productos y mostradores con todos los dulces que tienen.

La tienda también vende café y productos para elaborarlo.

La planta baja tiene otra salita con menos iluminación (natural) pero igualmente iluminada. Tiene algunos bancos y mesas pequeñas (generalmente de 2 a 4 personas). Se permiten ordenadores y también dispone de aseos bajando las escaleras (en buen estado).

📈En definitiva un café de especialidad con una oferta de productos bastante amplia, capacidad para reservar online y venta de café. Los productos son buenos (especialmente el café y algunos dulces tipo cookies o bizcochos de los que tienen 3 variedades). Delimitado en 3 pisos, con algo de música suave y bastante movimiento. Mi recomendación si puedes es que vayas entre semana a tomar café con dulce o pruebes el brunch.

📉 Por contra, como todos los "specialty coffee" el precio. Un precio claramente alto que no siempre se corresponde con un producto mejor. En función de lo que quieras es recomendable acudir a otros sitios que tengan menos oferta pero mejor relación calidad precio (en gama media). Desde mi punto de vista el café desde luego que merece la pena, al igual que los dulces y la granola.

Debido a la alta demanda y parece ser un sitio "de moda" y también frecuentado por población que está dispuesta a pagar precios algo por encima no es esperable que los...

📝Notes: I heard a lot of good things about this place so I was excited to check them out. A lot of students around the area would love to have coffee here. And I heard their pancakes were really good. But to be honest with you I didn’t like it much. Maybe it was the dark chocolate, but the pancakes were a bit hard and they over did it with the nuts. I wish they had a lotus based or maple syrup based. I saw that they have one with fruits but I would assume it would be the same as the French Toast. The French Toast was okay, but again its overdone with the toppings. Lastly the tea was okay but I wish they offered me sugar or something. The waitress that served us didn’t smile or didn’t make us feel welcome, maybe she was having a bad day but at least make us feel welcome at the coffee shop. The service was also slow, maybe because we sat down, but regardless I don’t think I would comeback again. It just wasn’t the...
