Restaurante Italiano "Il Piccolino Della Farfalla" — Restaurant in Madrid

The food was clearly just warmed up and not made fresh (no lasagne is ready after only 7 minutes of waiting if it is made freshly) and it wasn’t even hot, just warm. And you would think that the quality of the food would be good, if they didn’t have the time pressure to make it - sorry but it wasn’t. The portions were to small so that we went to another place afterwords because we were still hungry. The service wasn’t too nice either and we were rushed out of the restaurant. We were not offered coffee like the lady’s next to us but were given the check without asking for it (we think that is was because we were the youngest in the restaurant and they thought we would not pay as much as the older people around us). The only two good thing where the ambience and that the tinto de verano wasn’t too bad. I would NOT recommend...

A nice family run business with reasonable food. We went for lunch. We didn’t like the Arepas, it was not tasty and missing flavor. The pisto with eggs was just okay. We liked the chicken segundo plato which came with its nice juicy sauce and fries. The salmon for second dish was just okay but was a bit dry. For desert we went for the fruit selection: pineapple slices and watermelon and they were both fresh. The ambiance was average, nothing special. The service was a bit sluggish— they served another table who came after us first and then us. They were pretty stretched serving many tables. Also a guy entered who only spoke English and they kept talking to him in Spanish and not very cooperative and he was a bit lost...

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We were really disappointed with our experience here and can only recommend to go to another restaurant. The portions were by any standard super small, the food obviously only warmed up (there is no other explanation how one could get get a Lasagne in under 5 minutes), the food itself lacked salt, spices and just general inspiration.
