Taberna del Príncipe — Restaurant in Madrid

The food was ok for the price we paid. The waiter was not paying attention to us from the beginning and was not speaking any English, nor understandated Spanish words. It took us about 20 minutes to make him understand we wanted to order three menus. They brought the first course but not the drinks, when we asked about the drink we ordered, they first brought us a glass of tap water (for 5 people) and only the second time we asked they remembered we ordered 2 big bottles of water and some beers. They said they have ice cream for desert and some other options but to wait to order later, when we asked again about the desert and wanted to order ice cream they said they do not have any, even though they mentioned it a few minutes earlier. The bathroom was not very clean and when walking through the restaurant you could see the storeged cut potatoes siting in water. There was a drunk/hobo in the restaurant and they were not...

A small corner joint with authentic Spanish food. Good for those with tight budgets. The servers can't speak English so be prepared to use a language translation app. The food I enjoyed most was the breakfast set comprising coffee, orange juice, bacon, bread and two sunny-side ups. Nos cobraron una cuenta mucho más abultada de lo que correspondía (19 tercios imaginarios de 12 reales). Cuando se les comunicó, una de las trabajadoras, adaptó una actitud chulesca y desafiante. Se nos trató de mentirosos y poco menos que ladrones. Les acabamos concediendo el beneficio de la duda, aún sabiendo que no tenían razón. Nos dijeron que podíamos venir al día siguiente a revisar las cámaras para comprobar si estaban ellas, o nosotros, en lo cierto. Hoy, hemos ido a revisarlas y tras ignorarnos un buen rato, se han vuelto a dirigir a nosotros de malas formas, (creemos que la encargada, esta vez), diciéndonos que ver las cámaras no era realista y que no podía estar durante toda la tarde viendo las cámaras... ¿Entonces por qué me dices que venga a ver las cámaras? Pues eso, un vacile de muy mal gusto... Se ofrecieron a pagarnos 3 tercios, dejándonos de peseteros. No lo aceptamos porque para empezar, son 7, no 3 y para seguir, por honor; el dinero es lo de menos, han demostrado su bajeza peofesional, con eso y con dejar constancia aquí, nos vale. Aunque se merezcan una hoja de reclamaciones, no seremos nosotros, pero a este paso... No creo que tarde mucho en llegar la primera. Si os topais con este...
