Peecocks smell so nice, if you get a chance to smell one take it! I had to cover myself in Peecock pharamones to attract a mate to smell. I think I may have used too much because all the boys wanted a piece of me and I had to run away. I screamed really loud but that only made them more excited to see me. I jumped in the fountain to rinse off and that worked. The fountain was so nice that I decided to chill there for a long time. Minus points because the water was cold, they should've heated it up for me.

A great respite from the hustle and bustle of Madrid’s city life. Very quiet and tranquil spot. There are a variety of different paths leading to beautiful gardens and small frog ponds. There is also an abundance of wildlife including birds, butterflies, and a peacock with a huge colorful plume. I didn’t take a photo so not to stress her out. Most importantly there is only one entrance to the garden, located on the far side, down the hill near the tall. Arch.

A very nice park next to the royal palace. Very lightly attended by tourists because the entrance is on the far side of the palace and you will have to walk downhill a long time to find the entryway. Once inside, you can hang out and take pictures surrounded by nature on paths that were once walked by kings and queens of Spain. Take pictures with the royal palace and cathedral in the background, and they will look like they are floating.

This park is a jardín histórico (historic garden) designated as a cultural property in Spain. It was used as a royal retreat from the 16th century, and a garden was created between 1844 and the late 19th century. It is located between the Palacio Real de Madrid and the Manzanares River, so the slope is quite steep. It is characterized by an open view towards the royal palace.

Beautiful and serene. While I had to use some muscle carrying my three year old in his umbrella stroller down the stairs, it was worth it. Plenty of benches and lovely walking trails. Weather was perfect at about 10:00, but I imagine it would be nice even during the hottest part of the day--plenty of shade from the huge gorgeous trees.

This park is worth the visit! It's a pain it's not so easy to access walking (it's 30mins from the city center). There is a quiet atmosphere, it's quite nice and you have a beautiful view on the royal Palace. There are also peacocks and their babies in the park! And if you want to sit and have a drink, there is also one place inside.
