Disappointment for €40 – Never Again
We visited Kova Beach Club expecting that by paying €35 for a sunbed and €5 for a towel, we would receive decent service and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the reality was the exact opposite.
There was no mention anywhere, neither on their website nor at the entrance, that the towel had to be paid for separately. The lady at the entrance simply handed them to us with an annoyed expression, clearly bothered by our presence. She even shouted at me to come get the towels myself and practically threw them at me. Absolutely no professionalism.
What really shocked me, though, was the complete lack of service at the sunbeds. No one came to check on us the entire time, even though several staff members were just standing around the bar chatting with each other. After 20 minutes, I went up to the bar myself to ask if there was even any beach service. The only response I got was "don’t worry." Eventually, one waiter came over, addressed me rudely with "what do you want, darling", brought the coffee and then disappeared for the rest of the day.
The restaurant didn’t save the experience either. We ordered a salad and were instead served a plate of greasy boiled vegetables. There was absolutely no indication that it wouldn't be fresh, or that it wouldn’t be a proper salad, even though the dish was listed under salads. Not to mention, several ingredients listed on the menu were missing entirely.
Overall, it was a completely wasted experience. €40 for nothing!! I could have just laid my towel in front of the club and fetched drinks myself like many other guests did. I expected a standard of service that is common in other beach clubs, but here, nobody even tries.
I don’t know who manages this place, but it’s clear they’ve lost control. One big disaster. I’m never...
Read moreWe booked this place for a very close friend as it was her birthday and only came to have a few drinks and try their dishes as they looked really good on the pictures, online. This was one of the best sushi we ever had and every bite was absolutely breathtaking. From the food, drinks, music and the beautiful exotic place, the team working at SLVJ made our night unforgettable. Julio, Sergio, Felix & Christian (plus the girls) and the rest of the team were absolutely incredible. They were very observant, and so kind… they weren’t even aware that it was our friends’ birthday however they must’ve heard us talking at the table as they pleasantly surprised us with a dessert singing happy birthday and making the evening extremely special. This was the best birthday my friend ever had and this night will never be forgotten so I would like to thank everyone for being so polite, funny and friendly. Thank you SLVJ for such an amazing, brilliant night. We will come back with absolute pleasure and will recommend you everywhere. A special shout-out to Julio & Felix for sharing our “coquinas” joke with us. You guys...
Read moreVisited on Saturday to find out if there were any beds to purchase for the day, the promoter Dean was at the door and was really rude assuming and telling me that our group could not afford a bed there. They turn people away who have money to spend by judging them on their appearance and it is really bad, especially when a promotors job is to get customers in and not push them away by insulting them! We decided to give La Sala by the Sea our money instead, it is only 5 minutes further down the beach and all the staff are actually welcoming and provide good service. If you don’t want to be insulted and belittled by staff don’t even bother going, there are much better places to go in Puerto Banus. The most amusing part is how Dean can tell us we don’t have the money but clearly he doesn’t either or he wouldn’t be working as a promoter, the staff need to be taught to not act in a manner that implies that they are better than you and be...
