I recently dined at l’entrecôte a French restaurant in Puerto Banos, and I was blown away by the exceptional service! Our Syrian waiter Rifaat was incredibly nice and patient, taking the time to help us make our order without rushing us. He even went the extra mile by bringing out the fresh catch of the day from the kitchen, allowing us to select the perfect fish for our meal.

Very lovely restaurant with a brilliant view of the beach on the west side of puerto banus.

We went for breakfast and we couldn’t have been better pleased with the food and service. Our waiter was attentive and had a good banter with us.

I ordered the Nordic bagel which was stacked full of cream cheese, salmon, and avocado. It tasted spectacular and was perfectly balanced. I also was very hungover so decided to have the Nutella pancakes alongside my meal and these were beautiful. A generous helping of Nutella with strawberries and blackberries on 4 fluffy pancakes. Delicious.

A final mention for the coffee. I had a cappucino, very rare I say this but it was exceptional. Frothy, chocolatey, and generally lovely.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The service was terrible — the staff was inattentive, and I had to repeat my order multiple times. Despite that, they still got it wrong. There was no apology, and we had to wait even longer to get the correct food.

When the food finally arrived, it was bland and poorly prepared, as if no effort was put into it at all. The portions were small, and the prices were far too high for such low quality.
