Not impressed with this place. We booked mid week for the following Sunday evening and on checking our reservation a couple of days later found it was not there so rebooked two days before the Sunday. On arriving at the restaurant on the booked night there was absolute chaos with waiters running amok. They didn’t have our reservation and we had to stand around waiting for a table to become free. This was particularly disappointing as we especially booked a window seat with views over the harbour and we ended up with an inside table with two of us facing the bar. So………… onto the food. Starters were okay with shared asparagus and prawns which appeared as a scrambled egg with prawns and asparagus but was rather nice and shared octopus in a vinaigrette sauce which again was nice. The main courses were not so good with three of us ordering the same dish and one something different. The three the same were stone bass one of which was totally over cooked, one was okay and one had stone cold potatoes and vegetables. This, of course, was sent back and reappeared with warmer vegetables. The one other dish (stone bass device) was quite pleasant but by that time we were all fed up with the whole thing. I don’t normally write bad reviews but I think on this occasion it is warranted. There are plenty of reasonable restaurants in Porto Mogan and I would...
Read moreFancied a stop off after attending the submarine tour. Upon arrival at the restaurant, no greeting was received by staff, we found ourselves a table and waited 10-15 minutes without being approached before going inside to attempt to order a drink. We were met with three different members of staff, who were appealingly rude to my wife, and ushered her back to the table with no drink. Finally we were approached by a waiter and ordered 2 beers which we waited almost 10 minutes for. There was no interaction from any of the staff, no smiles or please/thank you. We asked for the bill as soon as the drinks arrived as we didn’t want to stay there. The bill was literally thrown on the table and the card machine thrust at me to pay, not a single word spoken by the waiter! Would highly advise against anyone visiting this place. We intended to visit for dinner as it is so picturesque however will never be going back again, in light of not actually eating here we cannot judge the food. It looked fresh and seeing plates coming out, smelt good and looked nice. How they are still in business with the way they treat their customers I don’t know. Absolutely appalling experience. A possibility that they do not like tourists visiting their...

Food is really nice and the place is even better. Try to pay them a visit when there is not many people around. The level of quietness and service increases alot of course, and you will find yourself enjoying the food even more with that nice view. If they are having a busy day you will still enjoy the food a lot, but to the sound of a man doing the dishes as fast as he possibly can.
