Tuesday evening we dined at the most incredible restaurant in Mogan Què tal by Stena (a Norwegian inspired menu with the influence of the Canaries) I always spend ages researching restaurants before we go away as I love good food and drink and enjoy dining out so much but somehow I didn’t come across this place when I was pre booking reservations before our visit. It wasn’t until we bumped into a lovely couple and got chatting that they recommended this little hidden gem! Of course I had to find it and I emailed them straight away to see if there was any chance of a reservation at such short notice. I wasn’t feeling hopeful but they had a last minute cancellation and booked us in. You get the choice of inside seating or outside on the terrace and we were lucky enough to get the last table inside which I would recommend and book again when we return next year as you get to be involved in the action and the inside interior and atmosphere was magical. The open kitchen / plating and the chef talking us personally through each course was a fabulous touch and very unique. I’ve dined at many fine dining restaurants and enjoyed a lot of tasting menus with matching wine flights and this was just outstanding and for me personally was on par or even better than a few of the previous Michelin Star venues I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. This restaurant deserves its Michelin recommendation and definitely deserves a Michelin Star! The wine pairing was perfect for the courses and the staff and attention to detail was impeccable. The staging of the dishes reminded me of Great British Menu - it was fun and clever. My favourite course was ‘Back to the 80s’ with the beef tenderloin cooked on our own table BBQ. We cannot wait to return next year on our honeymoon and try a new selection of dishes. A must to book if visiting Mogan - a truly memorable evening!...

🌟 Unforgettable Experience at Que Tal by Stena – Port de Mogán 🌟
We had the most fantastic evening at Que Tal by Stena. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt the warm, intimate, and cozy atmosphere. We chose their fixed menu – a true culinary journey through sea and land – and it was nothing short of spectacular.
🍤 The menu included: • “Cast Away” – salted cod beignet, salmon tartare cannelloni & red gambas carpaccio • “Smoke on Still Water” – smoked sea bass with pickled fennel and summer potatoes, served in a cloud of dry ice and sea-scented smoke • “The Duck Chapter” – duck served three ways, with carrot-orange purée and Moroccan-spiced demi-glace, beautifully presented on a bed of coffee beans • Dessert: “La Dolce Vita” – olive oil cake with cardamom ice cream, topped with extra virgin olive oil and Maldon salt. Savory. Spiced. Sublime. – and it truly was!
💨 Each dish was presented simultaneously to the entire table, with incredible attention to detail – visually stunning and full of flavor. Elements like dry ice and smoke added a magical touch.
🍷 The service was beyond top-notch – friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about creating a full sensory experience.
💶 All of this for just €59 – an absolutely amazing price for such a high-level experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend Que Tal by Stena to anyone visiting Gran Canaria. This is not just dinner – it’s art, theatre, and indulgence all in one ❤️

There is only one service and everyone eats the same thing at the same time. One does not choose amongst a selection of dishes, this is the concept 😊. They check with you beforehand if there are any allergies and make sure that every dish is then tailored to your needs.
The dishes were super fresh, unique and original, without being "too much" (it was much appreciated). The portions were perfect for the pace of the meal, and we ended up feeling replete. It was truly, truly enjoyable and my compliments to the chefs! It genuinely was better than some Michelin-star restaurants.
The combinaison of flavours were fantastic and the choices of ingredients were on point.
The service is absolutely fantastic, quite international (Norwegian, Italian, English, Spanish are spoken for sure), with great clarity and explanation of the dishes. Each dish is explained after being served and before eating, in English.
The wine and the alcohols are very nice and of great qualities.
The playlist is absolutely amazing, the ambiance is very good. Chill, calm, honestly such a lovely evening. They make you fill at home!
I would totally recommend the place, which is accessible and...
